Will use the 14 Pro Max as daily driver now. If all is good and well after a month or so, there wouldn’t be much of a reason keeping the Fold 4 since I’m pretty tied in with the Apple ecosystem as it is (iPad, MacBook, etc.). So will see how it goes. 😅

I think mine done indexing already. Fully charged at 7am, now at 7pm still 46% with moderate use. No low power but im using the Dim Lock Screen feature.

Do you leave AOD on or off all the time?

I find Apple’s AOD pretty crazy as almost the entire screen is turned on. It will only automatically turn off when faced down on the table, or inside a pocket.

So I’m guessing that by manually turning AOD off, there should be some noticeable battery improvements that would make it on par with the 13 Pro Max (I hope! Haha).

Haha. Sure. The used market value has dropped quite significantly for the Fold 4 (even when Samsung just launched the phone like a month ago). So might be keeping it for awhile.

Been reading Machines Facebook and many customers have been complaining. It seems that many pre ordered with Machines in early to mid September, but have yet to receive the iPhone, while certain stocks are readily available for walk-in purchase.

Although my ip14 pro is still doing its indexing today (i think), the battery is definitely better than my ip12. From morning 8am fully charged till now, left 35% battery. Have been playing with it whole day long. Aod turned on whole time as well.

I think better avoid machines now. Shopee machines even worst, because no one you can talk to but only chat. And you dont know when they going to fulfill your order... whether they follow sequence first-come-first-serve, you also donno.

I am one the machine shopee buyer. I think best is walk in to Switch or buy direct from Apple Store.

So far didnt hear many complaint from them.

I talked to switch they told me expect to get it November most likely. Because Apple doesnt want to give any ETA to them anymore. Not sure how true it is. They said only know allocated units for 1st batch only.

If you want to buy from Machines still can, walk in to their store when they announced restock at facebook.

Tbh it makes sense to have allocated separate stocks for walk in and preorder

It’s normal … and impossible for all resellers or shop only sell for pre-order customers first

Am thinking to re-restore again but my old ip13p already restored with my wife’s backup..

Clean restore is too much as i’ll lose everything… how much exactly is the free icloud storage that apple give temporarily during restoring to new iphone? Keen to do this as it starting to annoy me.. but will 1st try to off AOD & see the outcome 1st..

Can try hunting for ready stock units at stores.

For example, Machines has been telling customers earlier they need to wait 1 month or so, but then just this weekend they restocked the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max models, though just in Gold colour. ☺️

My experience with Senheng recently, online stock is controlled by their online team at HQ while stock at branch is the stock kept by their branch based on their sales target. In this case, stock is depends on the number of order handled by the online store and maybe many stock available at outlet because many customers already paid deposit for online order.
