is this your first few days of using? if yes then the phone is doing indexes now, normally 2 to 3 days of battery drain then back to normal..

Hello all, how long does it take for your phone battery to stabilise after the indexing etc?

Do you leave AOD on or off all the time?

I find Apple’s AOD pretty crazy as almost the entire screen is turned on. It will only automatically turn off when faced down on the table, or inside a pocket.

So I’m guessing that by manually turning AOD off, there should be some noticeable battery improvements that would make it on par with the 13 Pro Max (I hope! Haha).

My Xs Max have fully utilised the free 5GB iCloud, but my phone storage still have 10GB available.
When I tried to backup my WhatsApp history, the system prompt me that my icloud storage have maxed.
Here, I am still figuring way to backup to my phone storage.

Just started turning off AOD since last night on my 14 Pro Max.
Today’s battery longevity seems to be noticeably better and on par with my previous iPhone 13 Pro Max.

About 4.5 hours of Screen On Time (SOT) already and still have 70% battery in the tank. With AOD on, I would probably be at about 50% now already.

Probably due to the physically smaller battery capacity in the 14 Pro Max compared to the 13 Pro Max? 🤔

im not sure if thats the case, since the battery is 4,352 vs 4,323.. too small to even be the factor of the faster charge... it must be something else... but again, the difference is very minimal, just that I have a usual pattern of charging my phones..hence its noticeable, but not big of a diff

it bothers me a lot that in AOD u cant see battery percentage, even when charging. Such a simple yet important feature missing in AOD
