how on earth will we fulfil the fixtures with WC coming up? Gonna be weird.....anyhow I don't even dare to see 1 single video clip of Haaland.
Its like watching how you will be executed on your own execution day. Read the news is scary enough.

England / Southgate is really doing us a favour with their selection. Long may this continue.

Anthony gives me the Nani feels…

Casemiro was ok (for a new addition). Am I seeing the wrong game here guys....remember the role of the cdm is just water carrier, possession recycler. the simpler he plays the better.

This is why I never watch YouTube clips. There is very little context. Such as was it an important time, etc. what was the score line.

We are nowhere near the finished product hopefully otherwise we are lacking quite a bit on the right wing. But looking back, a prime Nani is not bad at all to have, as long as the right back clicks. So you get my point.

been saying this for long time... his passing in the game also way better than mctom who only pass to eriksen to do something for him... but everyone expect him to play like FDJ  hmm.gif  hmm.gif in madrid he seldom need to show off his passing range lagi...
*
TBH, I have no freaking clue how does FDJ play and by now he sounds like a mythical unicorn who will single handedly tackle, dribble and score 3 goals every match, like Maradonna perhaps?

No point to wish for things that not happening....

But the thing with footballing fans is that they expect KDB to do the Fernandinho and vice versa. Like a peak Pogba every damn match. In reality the matches are won when we take care of defence, convert possession lost to possession won, convert possession to chances and convert chances to goals.

Its a machine, and every cog do simple things become effective. A single cog doing everything is going to be prone to injury.

what?

press resistance CDM who can pass can dictate a play from the back and hold the ball forward. under ten Hag he could be a beast. he cannot get his ajax form in barca because busquets still alive
*
I said this before, I really don't watch other teams football matches or clips or highlights. So, honestly I dont have a clue how fdj play or whats so grand. Of course I watched Maradonna.
Looking at the midfield today, you think we still need him in starting 11.
QUOTE(zhou.xingxing @ Sep 19 2022, 03:27 PM)

but just asking for a friend, what is a peak pogba?
*
The one that won the World cup? Or the 2018 Pogba I suppose. I know I know that is also another unicorn.

ten Hag desperately need him, i believe in teh hag.
btw, the dutch rashford is on fire. ruud really use him as a key player there.. taking free kicks, penalties, corners, free to dribble as he likes, and a captain somemore..
*
Who is Dutch rashford and which Ruud? Gullit or RVN?

Just for the sake of argument, ETH publicly say he never need Frenkie (of course no manager ever declare such a thing out loud) so I wonder if you support ETH shouldn't we just toe the official wording and never publicly say we need him?

If he really need this player to execute his plans, then obviously I am same like you, I support him hence I logically support his needs. But fundamentally I have not heard nor seen anything to suggest otherwise.

Oh well not that it matters.

I watched a video where he gives interview... when asked about his thoughts on comments on his poor performance...

His ans starts with i am man united captain. I dont read and watch these noises. Really next level confidence..

We don't confer the Lordship simply to anyone who does not have the necessary level of confidence. Otherwise it will break him. Lord Maguire is NOT BROKEN.

To think back when there was a time, I and some of us here genuinely thought that Harry Maguire was decent. Not 80M ace, but definitely 50M Rio good. He is not in form for a long while now, and it was decent of Southgate to give him a few games. Hasn't done anything good yet.

Haih.....he is not helping himself by appearing in front of the media. They should protect him. At least ETH does not put him in front of any microphones.
Players play football, use their feet and head. None of them are really trained to talk like politicians but we all like to point the mic in front of them and laugh at what they say. I prefer to not listen to it.

Before greece his performance is the same. But not put on spotlight as he is not last man and ppl wil aim for no english bailley lindelof.. his attacking set piece corner header quality is always the same.. can touch the bal.but no purpose.
*
if memory serves, yes, he has always been a liability when not in possession, and not quite effective in possession.

The + that I can remember is he was decent in creating some chances through adventurous passing in the upper 1/3 of the pitch. Also remember he was a goal threat (the positive goal, not own goal ya haha). I recall Fergie said that the team CAN carry 1 or 2 under performer, but in a bad spell everything will be displayed. As happen under Ole.

Need to let off some steam.
So, are we running an extra 11km today?
We have already backed the manager, spent the money (albeit in a most stupidly begrudgingly and untimely way), now how long more do we have to wait for the plans to come to fruition? 1,3,5 or 10 years?
I think City did it in 5 maybe. And Pool a bit more (since FSG take over).

Any changes needed for us or just ETH absorb the blows, formulate the corrective actions?

I am honest, I didn't bother to watch as I was like watching your beloved ex-wife's after wedding video.
And I don't feel great about the news at all.

This morning some my Arsenal colleague PURPOSELY came to sit beside me during breakfast, even though I am known to eat alone, he always just salam from 30ft, but today, he found some gumption to sit next to me. Needless to say he also mention he was at a Mamak where he told me he sat next to a punk who was fist pumping last night at circa 9.40pm in front of his mobile. I retorted he must have been born a few years ago as there is no such thing as a Blues fan in Malaysia pre 2000. But it also made me realise its been decades since we fist pumped to any notable event....perhaps the punk chose correctly. Even my son who is 12 will have a hard time falling in love with Rashford and co. And I cannot blame him then. Worse, what if my grand kid is a Citeh fan because of Haaland. I will not die a contented man.

I don't want to control, but I'll be darned if they are under my roof, switch on the telly on MU vs City and start dancing away when Haaland scores another hat trick.

How the mighty have fallen.

There is no past strikers of City that is so intimidating than Haaland. Just 22. For sure City tapau 10 years onwards. That must have been the feeling when people see our past successfull strikers, RVN, RVP, Rooney, Cole, Ole, Cantona, Ronaldo, Yorke, Hughes, Sheringham, Berbatov, Tevez 😅
*
I would argue that Aguero was damn good too. I for one never had the balls to watch when he plays. Thank God he still gets injured from time to time.

I also argue until my voice got hoarse. We need a powerful, top, top center forward / striker. A battering ram, a finisher, a poacher. He does not need to defend but he needs to press their CB.

Even Lakaka was not bad when on form. I think nowadays, even a Saha, we will welcome with open arms.

Is it so different the "modern" football until we must improvise with false 9, 3 attacking wingers bla bla bla? Haaland and Lewa has proven not really.
