Yes a meagre fee of only RM100 refundable if your loan is rejected or if u switch to purchase other models as long as within perodua.

if want to cancel completely(out of perodua) need to write letter to branch manager. Also refundable.

There are a lot of discussion saying Veloz uses Toyota Aisin 7 speed CVT gearbox. Therefore not the same. Correct me if I am wrong
*
heard the same.....veloz engine ship out to toyota bukit raja facility to install gearbox. then toyota bukit raja ship out complete veloz engine package to rawang facility. while alza complete engine package came from sendayan facility.

congrats! when did you book if you dont mind me asking?
great, hope you get your car soon.
funny, my agent seems like a bit blur when i asked about my VSO#.
is your VSO# showing the UFirst app or you had to key in the #?
*
need vso for loan application/car allocation queue. if SA unable to give it to you look quite suspicious. If not mistaken booking before october/november 2022 didnt go through UFirst app.

Hey you all using the built in dashcam for AV spec?
Saw the review the quality looks so bad.
Is it easy to remove?
*

using 70mai from previous car. easy to remove. got unlock button to remove it. just make sure remove dashcam before apply new tint or sunshade/windscreen.

Oh nice. Was the original DVR also using microUSB as power source? Thinking to reuse existing wiring to power up my 70mai instead of having to do the wiring again.
*
nope need to use another power source as the factory DVR power outlet have low voltage type. Already try with adapter cannot power up 70mai. Now using usb port at passenger leg room to power up 70mai. Front camera IMO easy to install/rewiring but back camera hard a little bit coz needs to pull cable through factory conseil/conduit black rubber at bonnet.

Hmm.. some questions on the Alza AV
1. Radio cannot turn off? Only can mute? I don't like to turn on the car and radio is playing
2. On the remote control, there is button for Lock, unlock, <trunk?>, alarm
How to use this trunk button? Seems like won't unlock the trunk.
*
1. Can turn off. Need to hold power button longer than it will off.
2. Trunk remote can unlock the trunk without interfere with unlock door. You need to press more than 1 sec.

QUOTE(QQQ133 @ Nov 26 2023, 10:57 AM)
I have taken delivery of my silver AV and have been driving it for a few days now. I have a couple of observation/query that I like to share as well as to look for advice & suggestions:

1. While I am pleasantly surprised with the many features of driving support system & found them very useful, in particular, the Blind Spot Monitor (many of the rest yet to have real-life experience), I also experienced 'engine suppression' frequently while driving slowly, turning or accelerating, instead of the normal smooth driving. Wonder whether this is due to some settings on some features? Anybody has similar experience?

2. The AV model's light switch comes with 'Auto' instead of 'Off' switch, which is convenient. However, I noticed that my head lamps come on as soon as I pass through a shaded area such as driving under a flyover that runs across the road. In KL whether there are many such flyovers & shaded areas such as the 'massive' LRT/MRT stations, the head lamps will turn on & off upon coming across such short sections of the road. There seems to be no way to adjust the 'sensitivity' or 'delay' in this 'auto' function. Is this normal or is my unit especially sensitive? Unfortunately, there is no 'Off' switch. Any suggestions?

3. I don't find the eco IDLE feature useful for me as most of my driving is around Klang valley where continuous start-stop driving at traffic jams are the norm (& the aircon compressor with stop when the eco IDLE system kicks in), it will likely to cause more wear & tear on the battery, starter & probably air-con compressor. There is a third party switch that one can buy to permanently disable this feature (Alza only allows disabling for the drive). Is it more advisable to install this switch or to remember to disable this feature every time we drive?

Thank you.......
*
1. Yeah, notice got jerking when you not pressing throttler pedal and let car cruise till stop/slowly drive. Feel like the overrun fuel cut off system/CVT want to disengage pulley.
2. Your front windshield got add/change another tinted? If too sensitive due dark tinted can change sensor to clear type (got sell in Shopee). If want to have off switch need change to Ativa switch got off light feature. But it also will also off light at AC display and dash meter if not mistaken.
3. I install the bypass cable to auto turn off eco idle feature when starting the car. Afternoon cannot stand the heat when turn off engine. During night sometime i turn on back eco idle (outside temperature is fine and eco idle will off engine much longer). Every 6 month before going service I take out back the bypass cable (scare warranty kacau). Some people no issue to turn off every time starting the car.

I actually tested this with Brake Hold on today, and it was interesting.

Brake --> Hold Engaged --> Move from D to N = Engine actually remained in autostop for a bit... before the autostop/ecostop icon disappeared and the engine turned on again. Hold remained engaged throughout.

Compare this to leaving the gear in D, where the engine remained stopped... until the system decides that it needed the engine on again for whatever reason (probably to run the AC compressor), but this is definitely longer than the "a bit" it stayed off when I moved the gear to N. Also the Ecostop icon and Hold stayed active throughout.

Make that as you will, though now it has made me REALLY question the need to shift the gear into N any more with Ecostop on.
*
If brake auto hold function on while eco idle activated the engine will off while changing gear to N(unless the parameter not meet such as cabin temperature high, steer steering left/right, press hard brake pedal back, low battery charge, blip throttle and etc). I only do this during night because the engine will off much longer compare during afternoon. Also sometime when not change gear to N the car creep front a bit during start back(not everytime).

Hi, went for my 1st inspection (no service) today & raised a few queries but not convinced with service's comments. Hope to get some inputs & suggestions from the more experienced users.

Firstly, I seem to have issues with aircon controls, specifically the memory settings. Set M1 for low then set M2 for high. After that, press M1 to get the aircon back to low, instead, I got the same M2 high airflow & my control shows both M1 & M2 symbols, see image attached.

Secondly, when I washed my car, I discovered very fine scratch on both sides in front of the wheel arches. They are very fine & not deep, so, one will not detect it on casual inspection and the scratch is identical (as far as I can see) on both sides. I asked the Sales when I detected them, she said it is part of the design. So, I double-checked with the Service Advisor this morning & at the end of the inspection, he told me the same story & said he checked his Alza & just discovered the same 'fine scratch'. But, I can't see any logic in having this as a 'design' for a car. Wonder whether anyone has similar 'fine scratches'?

Those aren't 'fine scratches', its part of the design. If you trace the line up past your photo you will see it curves and becomes more pronounced all the way round over the top of the tyre. The idea is to give the illusion of a recessed wheel bracket I guess. Regardless, definitely is the design, not a scratch. My Alza has the same, pretty sure all Alza 2022+ will have it as well.

that is paint protective film (PPF). Notice also at bumper.
