Doesn’t anyone use a steering lock bar anymore? I remember I used to put one on the steering wheel decades ago … more as a deterrent than anything else.

There are online videos that shows how easily such steering lock bars can be removed with strong arms.

My client Hilux is parked in an area with heavy traffic and it's fitted with a real old school type steering to pedal lock with mechanical that look and behave just like ones with digital buttons. It's really heavy too. I have been searching for it but they don't make things like they use too anymore. Either they are cutting corners in their design or the syndicates themselves have gone upstream just to manufacture such safety devices, that will just make their job much easier. Current hot promotion online is the pedal lock but car jackers are going through them like it's a piece of cake ! After scamming us of our hard earned money for a "top notch security device", falsely misleading owners thinking that their ride is safe, there they run off with ride & our hard earned money. You should count the number of immediate marketing response towards the ill fated owner, got put pedal lock onot ? KNN betul these syndicates, not only stealing rides but making owners feel utterly foolish themselves.

That is what I begining to believe in. Otherwise how do you explain that the number #1 top trending question,"Got install pedal lock onot ?' and thrives going through pedal locks like knife through butter ?

I have watched closely, many owners with stolen rides, had actually installed pedal lock, giving them a false sense of security and then their new rides is immediately lost.

If you are a big time car jacker, wouldn't you want to go upstream too, so that it is easier for the boys to get their job done ? I know I would, but we ain't no car thief.

Guess what, I had spoken to such unfortunate owners too. The highest amount paid for such state of art pedal lock was Rm550. Damn

Thinking about it again, maybe I was wrong about manufacturing, since it's another hassle to run such an operation. So being like a lazy ass guy, all I need to do is call, "Yo China, you go make me a pedal lock but must look like high quality & good but I must have the master key, ok. Very nice do business."

The logic is, since it's not working, why the constant promotion ?

Well, I suppose it’s the same reason why health supplement companies or beauty salons would continue with their aggressive advertising although scientific evidence may suggest that their claims are actually less effective than promoted…
