It’s faster to go to the nearest UTC. If you’re in KL, the fastest branch to get your passport is UTC Keramat. Don’t bother going to Pudu.

I also applied for the renewal online last Saturday and everything went well but the status shows that it’s still in progress and haven’t received the email yet. Can’t apply for my appointment through STO since it shows that my renewal is still in progress. Anyone facing the same issue?

Need my passport ASAP since my overseas flight is this weekend. Will probably go to Jalan Duta tomorrow to see what’s taking so long.

Same thing happened to me…just went to Jalan Duta and told them that I never received the email notification. The notification was sent after they typed my passport into the system.

Anyways, I managed to collect my passport within one hour but next time will choose to go to a UTC instead, as I’ve read that there’s a shorter queue to collect passports at the UTCs.
