Just renew-ed mine
After you submit everything, if you got the email from imigresen, you can directly go to the office the next day, no matter is LULUS or CAP JARI or anything.
If no email response, maybe in the SPAM? Or wait 3 days.
In case the photo you uploaded keep having an error, just anyhow try adjusting your face smaller within the border prepared, and adjust the brightness until it goes ok.
They usually won't use the photo you uploaded as they will still re-take a new photo for you at the counter on the spot!
Must remember to wear dark color collar t-shirt to renew in case you will be asked for a photo retake
The receipt must be printed out, they will collect it.
Bring along old passport + IC + hardcopy receipt.

If you opt to retake purposely, then the process will slow down lor.. If the photo uploaded is exactly like ur face, then your passport might be ready before you arrive.
