Hello, i aint musicians but am looking for kid @ beginner. In fact when my kid started i just bought those cheap RM200 from lazada and used for 2 years + for his lessons. Works wonders.

Beginner no need 88 keys. 76 keys more than enough.

Hello all, I'm interested to learn piano, and im a beginner.
My budget is around RM2.3k, and i'm looking for the most value worthy digital piano at this price range.

Currently considering the following models:
1. Casio CDP-S110
2. Yamaha P-45
3. Roland FP-10

I'm leaning more towards the Casio CDP-S110 because this seems to be a new and updated model (replacing the CDP-S100), whereas the Yamaha P-45 and Roland FP-10 seem to be quite aged in the market already.

Can any piano experts here guide me in choosing the best value for money digital piano for a beginner like me?
Is the Casio option a good buy?

I don't think so. U just have to see which angle u are coming from.
For me kid beginners, or even other beginners, u can't know whether the interest remains. U based on your already know how to play like a pro will remain bias where people need to have weighted keys , etc. The only downside I see digital keyboards(DK) not being weighted.
Beginners I see what they learn is simple songs like London bridge and singing doremi. They are basically learning to recognize the keys and listen to play etc. That's what beginners are.

DK has come a long way and they now even have touch sensitivity. U can of course argue the feel is different but the goal here is to learn how to play. DK also I find it's more interesting to kids or beginners because it has many features than DP. It can keep the children remain interested than the old school piano / acoustic piano.

I think it depends on what u want. The old school way , the just learn to play and then when u want to fully focus on just acoustic piano they can switch.

With that I don't think it's a bad advise without giving any points on why it's bad besides the weighted keys or the so called feel which is subjective and debatable that I already know before deciding.
