Some ATIVA users on FB managed to find out some secret hidden menus on the ori HU by tapping somewhere in the setting menu





The menus are mostly in Chinese and used for testing purposes. Seems like the firmware is developed by ZhongHong (China Company that used to cooperate with Betamek)

For the OS part, I have dig inside the log file of the Carbit Link on my phone (aka Smartlink), then I found out that the ori HU is stated as model D55L and Linux OS
Can't track back the log file now because it is deleted

The Ativa original HU is actually looking good (floating screen unlike Toyota's CRT) and quite smooth to use as it uses capacitive touchscreen instead of resistive used on Myvi G3 2017-2020 or older and other P2 car
Performance wise I think is acceptable too (it does support up to 720p H.264 playback and has Apple MFI certificate)

However, the only drawback is the ori HU doesn't have AA or CP and only comes with Perodua Smartlink which is too bad and unstable .
Ori HU doesn't have built in navigation too like previous P2 WINCE headunit which makes it impossible to sideload Autokit app to sd card and use AA or CP

** The reason that didn't change to others are Android HU (laggy + unstable) and Japan brand, Pioneer and Sony (too expensive), and also warranty

Does anyone know how to jailbreak or sideload the ori HU for running Android Auto or Apple CarPlay like MazdaTweak ???

Ya but Android HU are too many. Price from RM200 to 2000. Some of it are really good but others are just laggy cheap electronic rubbish.

Moreover android HU can't use the ori USB and HDMI ports which kind of waste.

how do you make comparison from 200 to 2000, any link or review website, always see advertised as 4xx to 8xx but hard to compare also.

compare and test before buying. wont need to go to 2000. few hundred bucks already have quite decent and better than Betamak one.
many can still use back USB and HDMI port. can be connected.

For me, I am not sure but mostly just look on the specs of the HU.
Most of the HU uses RK or allwinner chip and different volume of RAM. Those specs are like android TV box or tablet. So, you can imagine how's the performance will be like based on its SoC and RAM.

Some of the firmware is loaded with Google Play and GMS too which is too heavy and useless for a HU (at least for me). While, low end HU comes with bloatware and lousy UI which makes the whole system very bad.

I saw Lazada, Shopee can get cheap android HU like T3L or xxx china made HU for 200++ .

i wonder toyota raize hu better than betamek ?

Japan Raize HU using floating screen from Pioneer with AA and CP but others like Singapore specs are just 2 din HU with casing.

Indonesia specs seems like floating screen too ( not sure about the manufacturer)

IMO, as got AA and CP with floating screen, definitely better than Betamek

I think it should be fine as long as you can get the Alza AV's HU just the HDMI wont work I guess

buy pnp socket and casing for android player, keep original player, casing and socket wiring in case warranty claim

nowadays rm5xx android player come with carplay / AA wireless, sim card adapter. better than wired carplay / AA
