Tipu dana PenjanaKerjaya: Saravanan akui ada ahli MIC terlibat

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Menteri Sumber Manusia, Datuk Seri M Saravanan, tidak menafikan ada dalam kalangan ahli MIC terbabit dalam tuntutan palsu berkaitan Progam Insentif Pengambilan Pekerja (PenjanaKerjaya).

Bagaimanapun, beliau yang juga Timbalan Presiden MIC berkata, penglibatan individu berkenaan dalam tuntutan palsu itu tidak mempunyai kaitan dengan parti MIC.

"Saya setakat ini tidak ada sebarang maklumat (mengenainya) tapi saya tidak boleh nafikanlah penglibatan individu, tapi itu tidak ada kaitan dengan MIC," katanya kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

Beliau ditemui pada Majlis Menandatangani Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) antara Pertubuhan Keselamatan Sosial (Perkeso) dan Flex Penang berhubung usaha memperkasa penempatan pekerjaan kepada golongan Orang Kurang Upaya (OKU), di kilang Flex Plan 5, di sini hari ini.

Saravanan berkata demikian sebagai mengulas dakwaan beberapa pihak yang didengarinya, mengenai beberapa anggota parti politik itu ditahan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) kerana terlibat tuntutan palsu berkaitan PenjanaKerjaya.

SPRM sebelum ini dilaporkan menahan reman 40 individu bagi membantu siasatan isu tuntutan palsu dan penyelewengan dana insentif PenjanaKerjaya di beberapa negeri menerusi Op Hire beberapa hari lepas.

Youngsters nowadays forgot about the debacles in the 80’s about koperasi. Can’t really find much info nowadays because it’s largely forgotten but go back and ask your parents or grandparents generation and you’ll know there were lots of cheating done by MCA too. Gerakan was actually better mainly because their support was concentrated in Penang and part of Perak only.

In fact, the ones who started cheating people were MCA. MIC actually came later.

Even Ling Liong Sik hands are not clean with PKFZ scandal. Don’t forget Transmile Group scandal where Ling was the Chairman of the Company.

Hence the question being asked by the opposition: how did RM9.1 million from Mitra — the Malaysia Indian Transformation Unit set up to aid the Indian Malaysian poor — end up being channelled to a research arm under a political party, the MIC?

Sure, the moolah was supposedly, purportedly used for online classes for underprivileged Indian school kids during the pandemic. But why was a research centre with (allegedly! allegedly!) no experience in education being tasked with organising online classes?

How many of the lucky 18,000 students allegedly attending the classes even had access to laptops and the Internet? And, why oh why were the funds handed to a foundation chaired by a politico (that’s MIC head honcho S. Vigneswaran), and not NGOs?
