Hello everyone ! hope u guys have a good day, i've just finished spm looking forward to do my undergraduate studies in japan as a private student. Big question is which pre-u school is okay ? Pusat bahasa teikyo(PBT) or intec ?
i heard alot of negative reviews about PBT on how they treat private student vs JPA Student. But rarely hear/found any reviews about INTEC as private student
i want to do computer science which is science stream
about INTEC, you gonna do 1 year prep course in INTEC then 1 more year in Japanese language school designated for you, then u can do degree after finishing those 2 years
i need help from you guys and thank you so much in advance !

I'm currently doing my first year at Teikyo, so I'm not completely familiar with the entire extent of the program (I plan to quit this October).
From what I have heard from my seniors so far, Teikyo focuses much more heavily on the academic subjects (i.e. Mathematics, Physics, History, etc.) rather than non-academic subjects (i.e. Art, Design, etc.). So for your purposes, (Computer Science), Teikyo should be a better option than INTEC. As far as I am aware, INTEC is solely focused on Japanese language acquisition. You may also want to consider whether or not you are aiming towards public universities or private universities, as basically all public universities in Japan WILL require you to take some academic subjects, regardless of what field you take (Math I and General/Social Studies is usually the bare minimum).
And you must also be aware that the workload at Teikyo will be extreme, even in the first year. This is not an exaggeration. Most of my classmates (including myself) are currently sleep deprived. And this is NOT even the second year, when they start teaching the academic subjects IN ADDITION to the Japanese language studies that you already have.
Sean is technically right, there are some Japanese universities that do offer undergraduate degree programs in English. But I highly recommend that you DO NOT enrol into these programs, as from what I heard from others, the quality of these programs are not up to par with the undergraduate degree programs conducted in Japanese. And besides, if you went to study in Japan with not even an intermediate language ability in Japanese, you can kiss your chances of getting any job in Japan after graduating goodbye.
