No, and neither is the U7H. You need to allocate about RM210 for a Netflix-certified, Dolby Vision enabled, Android box if you want to use Android apps, like Disney+ Hotstar.

Last I checked, Sony's 55" A80K is RM7,800.
*
I placed an advanced pre-order with the retail shop for U7H and the listing on the receipt was: Hisense ULED 65U7H (2022 GOOGLE)

very much confused with this as the website stated Vida, but seems like the salesperson cannot explain it either or have no clue.

Anyway already have the latest AppleTV 4k so GoogleTV or Vida doesn’t matter to me anyway

Sony X85K v Hisense U7G.

The X85K is a 100 Hz, 8-bit + FRC VA panel. Android. Chromecast. Airplay and HomeKit.

The U7G is a 60 Hz, 8-bit + FRC VA panel. Full-array local dimming. VIDAA OS.

For me, FALD is important for movies and TV with HDR metadata. Chromecast and Airplay are nice to have but I'm not losing sleep over it.

When the U7H gets released sometime later this month, I wouldn't even consider the U7G. 120 Hz, 8-bit + FRC ADS (IPS derivative unfortunately) panel.

I'll keep an eye on U7H.

How'd you do that? Even Hisense's official Shopee hasn't listed them yet. Did you show them the Hisense website and the promo price for the U7H?

Some sellers on Shopee has listed the 55" U7H at the right price of RM2,900. But the same seller overcharges for the 65".

Also, reminding you guys that Hisense gives 3-year warranty if you buy TVs at physical stores. 2 years for online sales.

Strictly on price, U7H.

However, the Z770 has more dimming zones and it is also brighter, by about 300 nits at 10% I think, according to some reviews.

Both have 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and both are 120 Hz 8-bit panels, I believe. The Z770 is a VA panel, I think.

But if RM5,000 is your ceiling, you might want to raise it up a bit and wait for TCL C835. That's a mini LED TV that's gotten good reviews with its better performance.

Are you sure on the 8 bit for z770? YouTube review from Taiwan shows that it’s 10 bit, with more than 1000 nits, but model is slightly different z770kt. He’s saying it’s better than x90j too.

I could be wrong on that. Hard to verify by just Toshiba claiming so on their own website.

55U7H is sold for RM 2979 on Shopee.

https://shopee.com.my/HISENSE-55U7H-55-4K-U...1e-33d896d154b9

at a similar price, is there any other TV that has local warranty, HDMI 2.1, 4k 120hz, FALD in Malaysia?

Technically, that's overpriced by RM80. Hisense is currently have it under promo for RM2,899 for 55". However, if they have them in stock and could deliver within 10 days, that's the price you have to pay.

Right now the U7H availability is quite limited. Hisense Malaysia should have been given the Singapore stock since they have the U8H stocked up and nobody there would probably buy the U7H.

Not that I know of.

I wonder if there are display units at electrical stores.

Do you mind sharing if there's any application available in Vidaa OS where we can cast video from a website to the screen?

Hmm that I do not know as I’m using Apple TV so airplay works for me. I’ve not used the interface at all, and even turn off WiFI on the VidaOS

That said there should be a casting feature built in the vidaa OS as written in the box. Although I don’t think I’ll try it out.

Glad your experience is positive so far.

What size and price did you pay for it? If you have a PC/PS5, I wonder if 1440p is supported for gaming.
