Hi all,
I'm thinking of replacing my current bike (demak 90 , lousy but faithful biggrin.gif ) .. been using it for over 8 years now.
What happen is I've changed my workplace and daily commute requires a mixture of highway and jam (for Kl-ian = it's old klang road to sprint highway to ttid to kepong).
My current bike seem to ok when in jam, but highway is abit risky (cant get above 70km/h)

With this, is 125cc bike suffice for daily point-a to point-b ? or need higher cc ?
I'm a b license, so i think my max cc is 150 only before i get saman biggrin.gif .

Thank you.

p/s : i dont have budget (now doing windows shopping before saving up money)

that's only 24K+ mileage so fast cannot tahan ?

not cannot tahan .. more toward change of work location , and now need to have highway travel.. My bike can travel, but cant go fast, so it's abit dangerous and is thinking of changing to a bigger cc bike for safety... for comparison, my highway max is 70km/h; so sometime stuck behind lorry and such and cant overtake

thanks all for the advice.. i've shortlisted wave 125i .. i check with my workshop as well.. they say yamaha have avg 4 month++ waiting list, which may be the deal breaker ; plus yamaha is more expensive by over 2k.

If my expectation is around 80-90km on highway, would wave 125i suffice?
also, if you're in kl, i'm looking on sprint and ldp side of highway .. its more for safety and not rempit style, as my current bike is around 60++, so it's dangerous for me in highway, especially if it's not jam, but not-not jam as well( kl-ian know what i talk about .. when suddenly a stretch open up and everyone speed up to rush to work scenario) and/or if i'm stuck behind lorries and cant overtake them...

Your budget how much first? Will you consider second hand market also?

i'm thinking first hand cause i dont want breakdown halfway ... budget-wise, not much at the moment, that why shortlisted wave 125i.

i'm planning for installment style anyway... just that i'm still 50-50 due to "best bang for my buck" mindset... lol

thanks everyone for the inputs ... i did some "research" , aka googling (lol) yesterday and i think i'll stick with wave for time being .. mostly as alot of input say wave still suffice for my daily commute and i kinda heavy handed to spend over 10k in total for a work bike ... maybe later with more experience, i can go for hobbyist bike and such, is willing to spend that amount...

thanks again smile.gif
