Canon Speedlite, need advice!, Canon 400D Accesories

Hi guys,
I am planning to get a Speedlite for my 400D. I have some inquiries which I hope some of you guys out there could lend some opinions.
1. Does the 580EX II and 430EX differ much, in terms of general usage?
2. Price watch for these speedlites? Last I heard 580EX was about RM1.4k and 430EX was about RM900-1k. Pls correct me if I'm wrong.
3. Any shop recommendations? I bought my dslr from Pertama complex though.

I suggest to buy at J -One as well. The shop owner is a very nice person and he can give u a good price, although his shop is more on selling nikon accessories.
