So, it's apparent that we need a good striker. Martial is good, but we don't have anyone else other than him and Ronaldo (if he stays).

Also, Sancho's absence. Elanga just cannot lah, good as backup only.

Before the red card, McFred was surprisingly ok.

The defence also not too bad, except for Dalot. McTom bailed him out a lot of times.

Hope to see Martinez in tomorrow's game.

Until now, I still don't know what is good about Van De Beek.


That's when our midfield became weak. As much as we dislike McFred partnership, last night they were solid. If it was only Eriksen coming in... maybe we won't concede that goal.
Also, McTom bailed out Dalot so many times. RB is quite weak at the moment.

Kate support the manager (ETH), until become like Klopp.

Too little game time to give full review.

Zidane played ok but mostly as sub. Garner didn't play much in Bangkok/Aussie tour due to injuries. Last night was his first start, and he looks promising.

I didn't see Garnacho play during the tour except for last night, not sure why. He's probably the top youth player at the moment.

Ethan Laird was ok, not too bad. Maybe a loan is good for him. I think he defended and attacked better than AWB.

Tahith Chong, very inexperienced whenever he gets the ball. I think Elanga is way ahead of him. At 23, we should offload him elsewhere.

For the seniors overall, I'm quite disappointed with Varane. Not sure whether he's not match fit or still with injuries. He seemed sluggish and indecisive in distributing the ball forward. Hate it when he opted for backpass. Maguire seems to be better than him now. For Telles, I don't think he can challenge the LB position, now that we have Malacia.
VDB? Just like Telles, squad player. Sorry to say, McFred is one-two step ahead of him, only by small margin.

Yeah, VDB, I think ETH put him at no10, 8, 6 already. Maybe slightly better at 10. But overall, below par. I don't understand the rave before. Or just to piss Ole off, I don't know lol.

None of the managers after Fergie stayed longer than 2 seasons.

What will consider as a good season for him to stick to his filosofi?

I think that is one thing about ETH, he is so used to having limited funds. So he only buys what he deems as a very good player that suits his needs.
So when FDJ deals at a stalemate, he needs a lot of convincing when scouts present him the alternatives. He might feel agak-agak. Might as well train McFred or the kids as he has a good reputation with youth players.

Well, everyone's favourite manager, Klopp's team was 8th in his first season. Some more he brought in 11 players in his first two seasons. Astonishing.
