Hi there everyone, initially i never thought of bringing this up but I figured out if I don't do this, I'm afraid many potential sellers will face this predicament too in the end.
I was having a wardrobe clearance under
stuff for the ladies, and a girl approached me by sending me a PM telling me she's interested in a long long list of items within a few hours after I started the topic. All in all after a few PMs she added another few, I think it came to about 15 of them all together. So okay, I was very happy because I considered her to be my first customer so I modelled every single picture and sent it to her. Kept in touch through MSN and all, since she acted like a very nice person. I promised to give her discounts as well.
The apparent horror started when she told me she wanted two skirts, but couldn't figure out which one so she asked me to reserve BOTH for her. I did, so that's okay even though I knew I'll lose a few customers. In the end she cut down the other one and wanted one, so that's fine as well. She added another few tops so I thought she's a serious buyer. Chatted in MSN and she kept on asking if I had any other stuff to sell and such. I even had to tell another few forumers and potential buyers who are interested in a particular skirt that I'm already reserving the skirt to this girl. I could have sold it to the other forumers for a higher price but I kept my promise for I've already reserved it for her as she was the one who enquired about it first.
I wanted to close this deal as soon as possible as I have other things to handle and I don't wanna drag this for long. Before this I've already told her that I could send her items to her through postage and I'll bear the cost since she took a few items and I wanted to clear my wardrobe so I gave her a discount as well. But sad to say her response was
"I don't trust postage. I experienced this before and I had to wait for 3-4 weeks for my items to arrive". I felt strange because cases like this never happened so often, I never thought of anything except that she was another unlucky victim previously, neither did I suspect her too.
So then I told her I could only COD with her at Summit Subang (which is far far away from where I usually COD) since she lives in Klang and I wouldn't be able to go that far. Isn't it supposed to be this way that sellers have the
advantage on where to decide for COD? My dad doesn't go there often so I took the initiative to plan all this... She knows I'll only be dropping by Summit area THE MOST. She agreed and told me that if she couldn't find transport, her friend will COD with me on behalf of her.
Initially wanted to COD with her next week. I set it to Monday. We sort of discussed it a while but to my horror she said she couldn't find transport. So okay, I was calm and I told her perhaps her friend could COD on her behalf? I was telling her as well that there might be a possibility that I couldn't make it but rest assured someone would pass her the items and that would be my younger brother, let's just say IF i couldn't make it. She disagreed telling me that
she doesn't want my brother to COD. And when I told her I've set the place to Summit, she was telling me that
her friend doesn't want to go there for he's afraid. Why? That's because he was
involved in an accident there before. What on earth is this?
I was getting frustrated by then... So I told her I'll post it to her if we can't come to an agreement on when and how to COD, ALL at my cost. She declined. The reasons were that
she doesn't want her mum to find out that she's been buying a lot of clothes. That's fine. I asked her if I could post the items to her friend's place then. I added that perhaps she could bank in the money to my account first before I send them out, but all in all she gave excuses like
she couldn't go to the bank for she has no transport, and if she's to ask her mum to fetch her there, her mum would know. Okay, so I thought of a last resort, which is if she could ask any of her friends to bank in to me first on her behalf? Her answer was "
Aiya my friends won't care and they won't know how to bank in". What the heck is this? None of them know how to use an ATM machine? This is totally absurd and impossible isn't it?
I wanted to just yell at her but I kept my cool. I was very very patient all the while but in the very end she told me that if I couldn't make it to Klang, perhaps I could just sell them off to other buyers. What on earth is happening? She reserved it for weeks and I gave her the nod (as usually items would only be reserved for a maximum of 3 days) but now she's asking me to put them back on sale? I've already lost a few potential buyers who are very very interested because of her and I doubt they'll want it again...
Please tell me what to do everyone... Is this considered as a serious and FFK case?
