Is that true? I thought all cars supposed to change engine oil + oil filter at 1st service.

hey guys... just got my new honda city i-dsi a couple of weeks ago. Reaching 1000km soon. I just called the honda service center and the guy told me 1st service is just check-up and no oil change whatsoever and oil change is only at 5000km service.
