Yo, apisgogo...
Cool AVATAR, man!!! thumbup.gif
My 2 cents worth, bro...
Let me tell u that i was so impressed with ArmorCoat, unbreakable, top security, like u, but in the end decided against it... hmm.gif
Reason: think of the incidents which may need u to break the windows to save a life, i.e.: the car falling into a river, a child in the back seat with the keys locked in & windows are tightly shut while ur spare keys are 100km away back home, etc... shakehead.gif
EMERGENCIES, u know?sweat.gif

Actually, top-range tints, i.e.: Ecotint, V-Kool, Air Cool, etc... also protects the windows from shattering upon impact, so if ur concerns are snatch thieves, i.e.: Mat Rempits, etc... then i believe the brands i've mentioned would be sufficient. tongue.gif

Well, good to know u've got ur ride, bro... thumbup.gif
Get our TS to include ur name into our Hall of Fame!!! rclxm9.gif

i got the ecotint ray barrier with safety film fitted on the 4 windows, for the windscreen, it's without the ray barrier
after hearing 2 cases of my father's car getting broken into from the side window, once for smarttag, another for the cd player, i'm convinced that it's a good investment
in case of emergency like crashing into the river, breaking the windscreen would probably be a better choice for escape route, that is, if the door can't be used

ok guys... after asking around... i managed to get some extra info... apparently...you can respray your internal dashboard....all you need is to go to those dealer workshop... those of you from penang.... you can try
WELLESLEY MOTOR WORKSHOP SDN BHD (547347-P)
TBP 6424, MK 13
JALAN MENGKUDU JURU
14100  BUKIT MERTAJAM
PENANG
Tel : 04-5088588
Fax : 04-5077939
Tow Truck : 04-5077726
E-mail : wm24hour@tm.net.my
I just called the tauke today and he told me they can do the internal spray painting... how much? depends on the area... and also since they closing shop now for CNY, i will only ask further once they reopen the shop...but the tauke told me they will respray back to original paint... sounds interesting...i will definitely consider this... i cannot tahan see my new car with the anti-slip mat spots around the dash... very sad see that....

also, my friend who told me about this, he say that the spraying also no need to take out the internal dashboard, i guess they just spray inside only the area where the paint peel off... will ask more....and update here... most likely 2 weeks after CNY...

hoo hooo hoooo....

ok guys, happy CNY !!!

yup, the dashboard can be sprayed
there's a shop on the island that does it too
they'll cover other parts with paper and the spray the affected area
whole process from spray to dry takes less than 2 hour
no need to dismantle anything

guys, when comparing fuel consumption, you need to take into account of the driving and traffic condition
can't just simply take a value and compare
just for comparison, my idsi does just around 300-350km on RM60 of petrol
but it's in short range constant start-stop traffic, hardly able to maintain 70km/h for more than 10 seconds

u guys car are superb on fc, mine rm70 can only get 400km, vtec 05'.

On a side note, my colleague 04' idsi the 7 speed mode is not functioning anymore. Press the button and felt nothing, no display on the dashboard also. Took to SC and check and was told that it cost 1.3k to replace. SC say one of the reason might be he diidnt change the cvt oil at every 20k interval, but i doubt that will cause the 7speed to malfunction, anyway just a note to everyone.

Anyone in Penang knows a good body workshop? Fix dented and paint?
My 5 months Vtec got knock at the side door. (dented and minor scratches)

I know bringing this back to Honda will cost me a bomb (they still sub it out to outside shop)
So I was thinking go straight out.
What I'm worrying is the paint. Will it fade after years? As our original paint that came out from factory has a protection layer on it right? Wonder if the outside workshop did that as well?

Color - Sparkle Grey

you can try the workshop behind kah motor service centre at sg. pinang
it's located in the same compound where they store their new cars while waiting for delivery
the workshop is the bodywork panel workshop for kah motor too
go direct and save some money rather than going through kah motor
my car's bumper got hit while it's less than 2 moths. sent there for repainting, workmanship and quality is good as new
look for a young guy, Yap, i think
always has a cap on.
