My friend just bought a PS2 recently and whenever he plays games (any game), the game will be in widescreen/16:9 aspect ratio! But his TV is 4:3. The start up screen (where you change the system settings) display in the correct aspect ratio though. Even he changed the settings in his PS2 to full screen, the game still display in 16:9 with black bars. Changing the setting in the game wont help either.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?
