QUOTE(malleus @ Jun 27 2022, 11:28 PM) hah! this so reminds me of a conversation I had with a property agent many many years ago. I walked by their promo booth, and the guy stopped me and said that this place is really hot selling. I asked where, and he said, Cyberjaya. I said, a bit too the far out for me. And he replied, oh ppl buy to rent to ppl working or studying in CJ wan. They guarantee rental returns of xxx at least wan. I was like. haaaaiiih... no thanks, I was looking for a place to stay then, not to rent out. Nowadays many young people waiting to move out of Malaysia. The market might be depressed for a good few years. Unless evergreen landed properties like BU, Bukit Jalil, Desa Parkcity, Bandar Tun Razak, OUG, Taman Desa, Robson Heights, Bukit Tungku, PJ then maybe still got market. Cyberjaya, Sendayan, Rawang, Shah Alam, USJ, Puchong a bit too far and oversupplied.

QUOTE(icemanfx @ Jun 27 2022, 11:46 PM) By about 2030, malehsia will become ageing nation. Already now there are people holding either empty properties or having properties but their kids have no intention to live in Malaysia. The next generation will look to either sell or just leave it empty.

QUOTE(skyzone101 @ Jun 28 2022, 12:49 AM) Lol..I know quite a number like them personally. They send their son and dotter overseas studies like Australia, UK, Canada, US etc. Once their kids graduated most of them do not have intention to come back to this shithole. They rather find job somewhere else Even when I suggested that I want to get a property in Malaysia, I was discouraged from buying by parents and in laws. One can actually purchase a landed cash easily if husband wife both work 5 years overseas. That also we were told by our elders don't need to buy anymore. So I can imagine probably there might be oversupply in the future. After all, one just needed a roof to stay when old. Don't need many properties, because very troublesome to manage these and illiquid when need to sell. Better to just put money in EPF and collect dividends than taking such risks. Even better, just rent. Because it is hassle free and cheap if you have hard foreign currencies. This post has been edited by jimmyktp: Jun 28 2022, 02:02 AM
