Still rmb the time I renew, I read many people complain about the photo requirement, so to save the hassle of doing it myself. I go to one of the local photo shop which provide the service of helping you to take photo + submit the application. End up the staff there also adjust here and there for a long time before upload successfully.

Just keep trying. I took a couple of times to upload as well. At the end, my fingerprint got problem.
