I have been considering terminating my Unifi Lite account and switching to a prepaid connection. The biggest factor in my consideration will be the answer to the following:

If a Unifi account is suspended due to outstanding payment, will the account continue to accumulate charges for the subsequent months after suspension? The account is no longer under any contract.

Hope someone with the appropriate knowledge or experience can enlighten. Apologies if my replies are not immediate. I think my quota for the day is almost used up.

The reason I asked my question is rather morbid. Given my age, I think a lot about loose ends. I heard that only owners are allowed to terminate their account. If anything were to happen to me, I would like to avoid as much as possible the hassle my next-of-kin would face if they had to terminate my account.

Which is why I have been thinking about switching to a prepaid connection. If anything were to happen to me, the connection would just expire when the credits dry up. Same reason why I only use prepaid and not postpaid connection for my phone.

I'm aware prepaid internet is nowhere as convenient as a broadband wifi (my connection is not Unifi proper but upgraded from Streamyx - Unifi Lite. My building does not have the infrastructure for Unifi).

The household has been less reliant on wifi since everyone has their own mobile internet. Anyway, this is something I'm considering - maybe not immediately but in the near future.
