Here's one for F&F Want to start a project to reuse all my shelved car audio equipment. What or which tyoe of car is good for the acoustic? Sedan / Hatchback / Suv / Wagon?
Budget under 50k, should be reliable , comfortable and cheap to maintain -> Japanese Preferably door should fit a 6.5 inch depth speaker without the need to build mould Sound proof panel is secondary, objective is best in basic specs.
If can I would like to build like modern bmw with center dash speakers to get the same feel (under seat bass) Will be using as my daily commute to crawl in traffic jam
Short listed Hyundai Matrix Myvi previous model Toyota vios? Myvi new model? Kia Rio? Picanto?

thats odd that none of those are are built with NVH as a priority especially the "sound proofing as secondary"..also 50k cash or loan
cash plenty, but your criteria of "crawl in traffic jam" is subjective, I've done so in manual 2.5L 6cyc car in KL for decades so no problem while my colleagues could barely change a tire so.... too many questions before can give 2 cents

Will suggest to start with a platform that is built for NVH from the start. Assuming only front seats will be occupied most of the time, would suggest
Lexus CT200h Lexus IS250

Not to say bad, but one of the ride i mod ICE with good result in the past is Proton Wira. Can easily mod or add speakers all around the car and most accesories shop are well knew about the car. Buy a cheap 1 below 10k, the rest can put in sound proof and upgrades.
Proton Satria/Putra option also should be good for it also.

You try to look at inspira. It's spacious. Looks good.
Priced within your budget. Cheap to maintain. Basically a rebadged lancer. U get japanese tech with malaysian pricing.
Only thing is the available variants are 1.8 and 2.0 ...so raodtax a bit higher...

Hyundai Matrix.
NVH is surprisingly good for the class. Have very thick sound deadening and carpeting on the floorpan and I mean THICK, more than 1 inch.. Huge space under the rear seat for subwoofers (remove the cubbies and build your own custom enclosure to replace it). Big door speaker cutouts. Stock tweeter location on top of front door cards. Just add acoustic mats for the doors and trunk.
If only the greenhouse isn't that big which is impossible to damp and you have to be creative in fitting a front centre channel because the instrument cluster and switchgear in in the middle of the dash.
The Matrix was designed for the European market and it shows. It's far more refined and ride and handling is better than many will give it credit for due to the way it looks.
That NVH and build makes for a heavy car, and at 1400kg, is about as heavy as some D segments. Coupled with the small 1.6L engine and 4 speed auto, acceleration is leisurely and fuel economy isn't great.
