Hi everyone,
I was graduated on 2020 and started as a self-employed retail trader in february. It's been 2 years since I have been trading Malaysia equity stocks and began to trade FCPO futures earlier in the January this year. In the meantime, I'm also a licensed unit trust consultant in Principal Asset Management for 1 year+, is now managing about 400k worth of assets.
Wanted to start my career in fund management and grow further as a fund manager, but I think it is impossible for now so I am planning to start the journey as a trader first, and consider to do internal transfer after gaining enough experience.
Can anyone share their experience on getting a job in a prop firm / IB as a non-finance graduate? Would't mind if anyone could also advice me on the career path as well.
You can contact an IB/broker prop trading department, sometimes called PDT/IVT traders. Affinhwang, Kenanga, TA, Malacca Securities are among the brokers that have this business.I was graduated on 2020 and started as a self-employed retail trader in february.
