after tuning, are you going to wear it frequently or not, if not, then no point la.  besides, since it is an old watch, might need spring lube too, i done that not long ago b4 MCO for rm45

I open the mortise lock, so big also, spring and everything pop out.
This watch, if accidentally pop out all the things inside, can throw already, especially when the small little thing ends up everywhere under the chair/sofa/table/cabinet.

the seiko 7s26 is a simple and cheap movement. i suggest to buy the tools to DIY rather than send to shop. you can get the tools on shopee and dont cost much. back case opener should be less than rm20. small screwdriver probably just rm2.

but before you do any of that, you might want to just wind it up properly. most of the time, its slow simply because it doesnt have enough energy.

If you want to keep the watch in tip top condition for sentimental reason, get it serviced, not repair as its not faulty or broken. They can adjust the speed, clean and lubricate it as well as replacing the gasket seals.

Else just keep it as it is somewhere in the watch drawer.
meanwhile at NRT, ppl talk about buying lolex watches....

If can get a Rolex at RRP, I wouldnt mind splurging on one....
