The new lock screen sucks big time. Apple care so much about aesthetic that it's no longer user friendly. Notification needs 2 action, sometimes may cause user to missed it if they didn't swipe up. Music player removed volume control. The wallpaper if u swipe down now the style is cropping style instead of pulling down style. If horizontal mode u pull down u can't see ur wallpaper. Wtf Apple. It works so well in ios15. Why fix something that ain't broken. Like hello, not everyone put human face or cats on lock screen, some just use random wallpaper.

Tempted to move back to android if it isn't because if ios optimization

Just try to play music, the volume control really gone

Just disable my haptic touch on keyboard yesterday evening and i realised my battery life has improve to pre 16. Will monitor further

seems like the battery usage is normalize after 7 days use

Yes after 24 hours can confirm battery life has improve. Usually by now im at 30 percent but now at 50 percent

I didnt disable haptic touch and now I still have battery at 88% after 9 hours at work, compare previous 6 days battery was down to 59%

battery was fine after update to ios16 up until yesterday.

now the phone warms up for no reason. literally just going through phone settings and i'm losing 5% battery.

Does anyone know how to mute only the SOUND notifications for WhatsApp Group Chat? But I still want it to appear on notifications when I drag down the list.

I really hate the notifications part, I’m always wondering if I miss out the notifications cause I didn’t swipe down properly or it didn’t even appear. Cause I put my phone on silent all the time and I check the list of notifications from time to time only.


I didn’t realise the volume button has disappeared from the Lock Screen! I just notice it now! Damn!!! I used to control it via the screen when I’m running!

Anyone having issue with Maxis VoWifi after updating to iOS 16?

I notice mine won't connect to VoWifi anymore when I turn on Wifi after updating.

Battery life definitely affected after I upgraded my 13 Pro Max to iOS 16. Not sure whether it's the OS or haptic touch.

Have to wait for 16.1 and see if that version fixes anything.

Guys, may i know how VoWiFi works and the benefit of using it? I think this option was off by default.

2G and 3G network are analog.
4G-LTE are fully digital packet network.

In order for voice call to be handled by digital network, the sound (naturally its analog) have to be converted into digital equivalent to be carried over LTE network. Thus, Voice-over-LTE. If either or both your phone and telco does not support VoLTE, then your phone is required to step down back to using either 2G or 3G everytime your phone need to handle voice calls.

Voice-over-Wifi is the equivalent. But using the wifi you are connected to instead of using telco tower.
it's a good alternative for those with patchy tower signal.

So for example my telco line is bad at my housing area, if i turn WiFi Calling on, whenever i make a phone call while connected to home WiFi, it will automatically use the WiFi connection w/o consuming any mobile data/phone call charges. Correct?

it's just like driving car. there can be multiple routes you can drive to the destination intended but you're still paying roadtax.

incorrect. as already stated, you are still liable to charges incurred by the phone call.

So look at your rateplan: if they charge you for making a call, then the same will still apply. Whether it through 2G, 3G, VoLTE, or VoWifi is irrelevant as far as metering and charging goes.
