However, if you store more things in laptop you can opt for 512GB instead.
This is my first thought when I tried the MBP. MacOS can definitely make use of more RAM. On the other hand, SSD speed is only important when you're doing extreme works like rendering videos, etc., or using Swap memory which won't happen if you have 16GB RAM. SSD space is really up to your personal use. But you can always expand by using external drives.
So if you only have enough money to upgrade one of it which in Malaysia is RM800, upgrade the RAM. Just save up and get a good external drive later.
