I used keyboard cover for a week and eventually remove it... coz the typing feels off with it... but I'm sure it protects from dirt and oils etc... I recommend only put it on when you are using it.. and remove it before you close the lid..

Plan to order mine from Apple website.
Check delivery date to Penang is between 3-5 Nov if order now.
Not sure how true is this?

I'm using a 2018 MBP (4 thunderbolt ports) base model and now am thinking if I should upgrade to MBA M1 base model or MBA M2 base model.

I generally use my laptops for:
- run reports in Salesforce
- analyse data in Excel
- watch movies by attaching an HDMI cable to the TV
- may want to edit videos in the future (may or may not happen)

My problem with M1 now is the 2 thunderbolt ports. I've a mechanical keyboard that requires an extra port (the other 2 would be connected to a TV and a charger).
I like the larger touchID button in M2; but kinda dislike that they moved the speakers away from the sides. 

Any advice?

i dun have touch bar issue, and i do not have keyboard issues. i had changed a total of 2 times keyboard using the program but not becos of keyboard issue but due to battery bloated. so it is considered very worth it since the two times replacement is free. the battery and keyboard are together, so replacing battery also replacing the keyboard.

if not becos of the keyboard program, i need to pay the 2 x fee for battery replacement.

i only have a screen flickering issue but after i reflash the macOS at apple back to the original version, it is fixed.

My Macbook Pro early 2013 running just fine. Just need to repair the speakers... Anyone mind to share suggested place to repair it? Thanks!

Hey guys.. got my mac diagnosed at machines.. seems need to change motherboard and touch id. I read through their diagnostics seems the cant really find the cause of the thunderbolt ports not working, so the solution is to change the whole logic board? Quoted me 3.3k which is about 50% of the mac... sigh.. what would you guys do? Its out of warranty repair. 3.3k i could buy m1 mba or some other windows laptop.

Damn..so sad.. i had good experience with macs before..lasted me 5 years or more with no issue. I purposely custom 16gb ram 512gb ssd to use a few years.

Just curious, did you or someone from the company installed anti-virus or use your MBA to join company's domain that disable USB port due to company policy?

My company's laptop disable all USB port and doesn't allow to transfer any data via USB and block all access to the cloud. Basically the USB-C port only can be use as charging port only.
