Hey guys, all the recent news on the worsening traffic and comments in some forums have got me thinking of doing a survey from those who stay in the new landed home developments on how long it takes them to reach KL/PJ.

Here goes:

From: time to KL time to PJ

Puncak Alam

Elmina

Rimbayu/Tropicana/ 247

Rawang

Serenia city

Semenyih (Ecoworld)

Seremban

Gamuda Gardens

Cyberjaya

Sepang

I can speak for Rimbayu/Tropicana/ 247 case.

to reach KL on a good day will take an 45 to an hour
to reach KL on a peak working hour will take 2 hour

vice versa.

haha...i expected as much. But if nobody wanna do anything, then status quo remains lo...at least there are some owners who are willing to do something about it.

Perhaps you can take days off and drive around during peak hours just to get an idea of how the traffic is like.
Nothing beats own experience. At the end of the day, you are the one buying the house. Better experience it first.

Definitely a must. And if you are minded, can share with others icon_idea.gif .

But i have heard of/known people who bought in Ecoworld semenyih, Rawang, Bkt Beruntung who cannot tahan the jam anymore sold/rented out their property and moved back to KL/PJ

Lol people are too used to minimal/no commute after 2 years. There’s a lot more cars on the road too as evidenced by sales of second hand cars.

The uptake of public transport will still be slow as long as there’s people jacking off in them and making a mess without repercussions.

My home in cyberjaya to office near kl sentral, 10 minutes drive to putrajaya sentral plus total 5-10 minutes walk plus 20 minutes train, total about 40 minutes one way from home to office, not affected by traffic/rain etc. and the 20 minutes in train can reply to this post haha.

Weekend drive to ikea cheras about 40 minutes also from home.

How busy is Putrajaya Sentral during rush hour? Jammed around there? Easy to get parking? More option when MRT come there too. Nice. Cyberjaya/ Putrajaya was under my consideration back then due to options of using public transportation.

Super easy to get parking in the covered car park, just it is getting more expensive, it was rm2 per day for many years now rm8. Not jam also from cyberjaya to putrajaya sentral. Good thing is the train schedule is fixed, so can easily planned and reduce waiting time, and peak hour 15 minutes per train.

Wow Ogosh, this is fantastic info. Thanks for the research. So it takes average 1hr 30 mins to 1 hr 6 mins to reach KL from those places. It is very helpful info for folks to consider. thumbsup.gif

Sometimes I think travel from Kuala Selangor/Selayang new township to KL are faster than Kajang/Sepang new township.

If you work in kl city center, most places will need +/- one hour drive during peak hours to reach home. I used to drive and there were time that after 30 minutes, my office still just beside me hahaha.

Find places with train access will be a good option.

Hahaha i know what you mean. I work in the city centre. Before i leave, i check the traffic along the main road first. If super jam, no point to leave... after 30 mins, you only move 500m

My situation was that i had to take a U-Turn after leaving office, so after 30 minutes/500m, my office just change position from my left hand side to my right hand side. Very sad. I learn that it is not about how near you live to the city center/or your office, it is about how much time you would have to spend on the road.
