Thanks! Super heavy as the 4inch base we made it super strong

done manually.

i think 1mth start to finish to do all 4 doors. from concept to idea on how to build, gather the sapele wood of specific size length n thickness, then maybe 1wks or 2days per door to cut n glue them in place. sanding the doors to a smooth transition between surface angles is another job on its own. and also sapele wood has alot of tearout (leaves surface withalot of pimple holes due to interlocking grain pattern) so we need to sand them so that the surface pimple holes are completely gone.
have to use a high end hand held sander +vac combo for best results.

the contrasting wood was not intentional. just being random at wood selection, some have darker tones, some are closer to the edge of the tree trunk...lighter wood tones.
overall not too bad outcome after doing some finishing

the back of the panel is flat as its a door. the front pointed tip is protruded out 20mm, physically its 3d not 2d front face.

as for the pimple holes, tearouts due to the grain of african mahagony being interweaved and when planing, tearouts happens when grains switch directions
yes have to sand away. looks ugly if use ca or epoxy.. unless its black walnut slab tables then it doesnt look that obvious and can use CA glue.
