Hi there.
Anyone know where to buy the GPS add on for PSP Lite?
I've been searching it all over Low yat and it seems to be sold out ages ago.

Can anyone tell me if the download tool eats up bandwidth until other users cant use?  Is there a way to set the download bandwidth?
*
About the bandwidth I think its quite ok because I was dloading Anime at the same time and I get about 30kb for my Anime.

i am funnyguyonly1 friend , i found the psp290 is differents from the pda...

why no routing navigation set ? mean once we set the destination , it wont navigate .

and the detaction between the sate and the device is slow enough.

one comment : not worth. no differents if you bought a paper map.

hope mapthis will develope the best !
*
I do agree the software lacks of navigation but then again, maps and software + source code is foc.
Paper map?? I don't think so.

worth it or not? depends on what you're looking for. If you have not notice, GPS homebrew app development is still very young for PSP. Give it some time and it might just meet what you're looking for IMHO.

The only complain i have is that the receiver unit seems fragile.

Hi I am new here !

Currently I hv a psp slim ver 3.71 m33-2

I am thinking of upgrading to ver 3.80 m33

does the Mapthis0499 and the gps for psp work under this version ?

*After reading that some of the forummers here are able to make the gps (psp) work fine with MApthis, I am more confident to want to buy a unit of the PSP-GPS.

Just confirm that if ver 3.71 m33-2 or 3.80 m33 can also run, then sure i will buy.

Thanks !
*
Mapthis works with 3.8m33-4. I', using it without a problem. I don't think there will be any problem with 3.71 also as long as you install mapthis properly(needs to copy 2 prx files from flash0 (usbacc and usbgps).

I downloaded and followed the exact instructions from http://www.digimartz.com/offical-sony-psp-...iver-p-164.html

and yet gave me "Error in loading usb devices .............."

I am using ver 3.71 m33-2 without GPS-PSP

I came to notice, there are many game folders under psp, which one is correct

1) psp/game
2) psp/game150
3) psp/game371
*
Ok for 3.71, toggle flash0 and get the usbacc.pxr and usbgps.pxr file from the kd folder.
Then copy them to the mapthis folder.
Make sure both mapthis and %mapthis folder is in PSP\Game371.

Hope this helps smile.gif
And yes you can run mapthis without the gps unit.

tried moving the entire Mapthis folders to psp/gamed371 but still can't.

After I move, start system, saw 2 icon, one gave error in usb, the other icon cannot load program.

Btw, wat is toggle flash0 ? and where is kd folder ?

Thanks
*
smile.gif to toggle flash0 turn off your psp by holding the off switch up. Hold it till the psp shuts down.
Then hold down R and turn on your psp.
You shold be in recovery mode.
Go to advance.
Plug in your usb cable.
Go toToggle USB flash0.
In your pc you'll find your psp as a removable drive.
You'll find the kd folder in that drive. The folder is hidden so you got to turn on view hidden folder option in your folder options.
You'll get the files there.

Hmmm I've asked around and I was mistaken. Only if you format flash0 then you're really screwed.

Ok what you need to do to restore your psp now is to get the entire flash1 files and folders from someone else's psp. Then copy them back to your psp. Remember this method will not work for Flash0 as Flash0 is unique to each psp.

what actually can we do with the mapthis + a KL map download from google maps.

only telling me where i am? can it guide me the way i wanted to be?

thanks for answering.

it will helps.
*
Yes for the moment is only that. Unless you can somehow create geodata for kl map, then it can guide you to places. I read up somewhere if you can somehow define POIs it can somehow use that data to guide you too but have not tried it out yet.

I dun like having CFW's. sad.gif

anyone GPS 290 working on his psp ? and mind to test my 2 Unit of the GPS 290?

*
The 2 pins next to the usb socket is most likely the problem.
Try pulling the pins out a little first before mounting it to the psp.
