Few people in this forum have the GPS.
Price at about RM220-250, IIRC. GPS does work in Malaysia. But for PSP, you will need to generate map yourself (from online source ie. MSN map, etc) There is application to help you with this. Our fellow moderator Ninja will be able to enlighthen you more on the PSP GPS. |

QUOTE(TheXxBestxX @ Feb 7 2007, 07:58 PM) Bought mine at Lowyat Plaza. You can find a few shops in Sg.Wang selling the GPS also. And, it can be use to navigate in Malaysia by using MapThis! homebrew with MSN Local Live maps, although it's not that detail. That's why I'm asking the people at Malsings whether we can convert their maps to MapThis format. |

Just a question, my aunty has a portable GPS unit (not for PSP). It comes with MapKing. So, can I use that map, and copy to the PSP's GPS unit (or some sort like that)?
Well, I myself not sure how MapThis! works though (at least not yet seen). This post has been edited by c9: Feb 8 2007, 11:28 AM |

Maps was extracted from Google Maps and MSN Local Live maps and save as compressed GPSFS raster file format.Well, I myself not sure how MapThis! works though (at least not yet seen). |

Ok, I can't copy. So, meaning that MapKing format is different from Mapthis!, right?
And also, MapThis! can only compresses some sort of map like Google/MSN Maps only and not from other map software? Correcto? This post has been edited by c9: Feb 8 2007, 11:35 AM |

QUOTE(c9 @ Feb 8 2007, 11:35 AM) Ok, I can't copy. So, meaning that MapKing format is different from Mapthis!, right? Yup, the only source for maps in MapThis is limited to Google/MSN Maps. Although you can create your custom maps by using JPEG/PNG format, it will be pain in the ass to intergrate the maps with the latitude and longitude of the GPS.And also, MapThis! can only compresses some sort of map like Google/MSN Maps only and not from other map software? Correcto? But, definitely it works. I've tried it before with Kuala Lumpur maps extracted from MSN Local Live. |
