like you have such a big ass building and you expect me to believe that you are fully booked 99% of the time?

to me it feels like 80% of the room are unused room and they prolly arent even reno'd or something

I just back from Royal Chulan yesterday.

I took exec suit and upgraded to grand suit wor. But yeah, when I came that time a lot of people there. But got people kahwin there, so I thought is cause of this kahwin.

most probably these ppl bought their rooms before this during lockdown when the room rates were extremely cheap, and now the hotel selling their rooms at higher rates now after opening up and ppl all going vacationing hence room rates higher now can earn more

This must be the risk for rooms booked without payment. So much for "pay only on that day".

So the story is - there's a VIP having their son/dotter's wedding there, so people attending the wedding walk-in and want rooms to stay. The management gave the rooms of people who booked before using Agoda/Booking.com/Klook to the walk in guests for the VIP wedding... that's what I understand lah.

normally on this kind of fully book case, royale chulan should book another hotel with same star to compensate them
