Best example of "Top up abit, Buy new car la, 500 years warranty or 500K KM warranty,
peace of mind" huh
Pity TS, now have to suffer with new car problem and only god know who and how to solve the problem.
BTW
Mysagavvt, we all cannot see the actual problem. When you say "Just like when the knock sensor is faulty" - Do u even know whats the function of knock sensor?
Its for the ECU tune the ignition timing constantly, even when you dont feel it. Rarely these things kaput one.
Misfiring can also cause that "knock" feeling, and even that also, the ECU will just tone down the ignition timing when the knock sensor detects it.
And BTW, stock car with stock ECU cannot be externally tuned or reprogrammed (refering to your first post "'tuned' the car, still same problem).
What PROTON (or even Perodua, for the record) techs should do, is plug in their OBD scanner and take it for a drive. Not plug in while engine idling only.
you sound like u know what you're talking about....... tuning the car was the bullshit they gave me..... i know that that ecu can't be "tuned" just with the things they have at the sc........ when the knock sensor is faulty, it won't detect the knock and the ecu won't compensate.... how to solve the problem? simple.... do long line testing to see if connectivity is good..... replace the ecu with another one to see if it's faulty.... their obd scanners are only as good as the technician who uses it..... they only know how to see if the readings are according to specs as published, and most of them are when the car is idling.... i do know a thing or two about cars too and i know they are bullshitting... like i said earlier.... u sound like u know what you're talking about.....
