Depends how thick the wire is most old house old school wireman usually using 4mm wiring for AC

My gaming PC only using 1.5mm wire and 10amp for pc purpose only

If cut cost type wireman 2.5mm wire 2hp AC plus your gaming pc the only thing worry are the AC overload pulling a lot of wattage and the wire melted short and can causing PSU pak safe to say you only need to replace PSU most reputable brand PSU come with safety fuse

I'm not certified wireman but most wireman advise pull a new wiring from your main box back to your room

1hp AC peak 750w or 850w except in the future AC starting failed overload pulling more power and your wiring cannot sustain can causing heat then melt then short circuit and trip bad way your house burn everything start from main fuse box most common and we don't want that happens so looking a reliable straight forward wireman is the best way

Oh ya there are proper AC thread already exist you can try ask over there

Anything you can simply type at google example
Lowyat forum aircond usually will show up

Oh, my house one is tap from current socket to another 3 sockets. that 3 sockets i use for my PC. lol i have surge protector cause i have 2 PCs, but both usually not on simultaneously, only sometimes when I need. There are times at night i will turn on all 3, AC, and the 2 PCs. But I will turn on PC first, then only AC. I think wire for AC they give the normal 3core grey cable lol sweat.gif

Q: May I tap the wire from plug point?
A: Yes, it is known as looping but it will put a large strain on the wiring. Good cable may last you for sometimes but if sub standard cable may caused wiring to heat up due to the carbon accumulation.

Q: Does the AC installer knows what to do?
A: If you are referring to whether does an AC installer has the ability to perform wire looping? Majority yes.

Q: Please advise
A: Always stick to the safest way when it comes to electricity.
