 UNIFI COUNTER OFFER BUT NO RECORD

So I wanted to try digi fiber and apply they ask me to port out so that I still retain the available fiber port.

Then on 22nd march I receive a call from 0379333300 claiming to be from unifi, the guy counter offer me with RM 129 for 300 Mbps. So I told him digi only 100 and free wifi 6 router. So the guy say ok RM 129 and Free wifi 6 router contract 2 years. So i said let me think dulu, he say tommorow will call. Then he call la using no 0379647000

So I malas need to return the white BTU or kena denda RM 500, have to baris lagi and then wait for digi to sambung means no internet for awhile.

SO kasi jadi la took the counter offer

Now here is the problem, April I kena charged RM 168 2018 unifi boost package. So nevermind la maybe need to wait a Month but the guy say April will get the router.

Then May arrive Still kena Charged RM 168 WTH la, so called unifi customer service. The say no such record??? LOL Made a COmplaint now waiting.

Anybody kena such Experience before? And what is the outcome. Customer service say need to wait a week.


*** Update got a call back from the retention team and he ask me whether I wan to take the old offer.

And I was like wtf, I already said that day I wanted to take the offer and told him so if not how can you cancel the port out to digi If I did not accept the offer.

THEN he told me my account cannot proceed that day because my account was suspended and I ask him what do you mean suspend I even paid one more months in advance. He could not explain just say he cannot go thru that day and cannot call me back.

Trying to divert the question so now I told him 2 months already overcharged me how? He told me to call billing team and ask he cannot do anything. I said I will report to MCMC if they do not do anything about it. I told him everything is recorded in the call. And the guy got scared and say he will call back and see what he can do.
Got this mesg lol.

Bruh, that call from different department la, that's maybe retention team, you call customer sevice, confirm la mereka tak tahu... same with bank, if you receive call offering lower rate for loan, and than you call back the usual customer service, confirm la depa will said normal loan rate, not special rate...

Not suppose they change my plan ka? And not recorded in the system? I tought all centralise lol. Then CS also say no such record means they can see the record la. Not sorry I dunno know have to ask customer service. Wrong understanding here. Then how ar anybody kena before kena counter offer to cancel the port out but the plan not change to the promised plan?

I got the same call few months back from this number offering RM129 for 300mbps to retain me and recontract 2 years, I accepted and the rate stays the same until now. still RM129

I dunno, but do u have reference for that offer? Email? Report number? Sms? WhatsApp? This day, if ppl said nice and good thing offered to u, better have written proof, if not later... U know la, pusing2 sampai tak habis....

If unifi called all recorded I think, they can check, because digi called me and ask WHY I cancel port out. I told them kena counter offer...Should have just taken digi now I think better take digi offer can saved alot and trouble.

No reference lol apa pun tiada hope the call recorded la...If not complaint MCMC SKMM or port out balik too digi. Dunno digi still layan me or not lol

They make me feel Like they are. Trying to slow the process to earn more haha bad practices not ethical at all or just plain mistake. But since it is all centralise I think la wont have such problem unless really pok silap

You current on 168 300m with unifi tv pack is it? (Before applying transfer

I think is technical issues from tm side, since your current plan bundle with unifi tv and they unable to remove unifi tv pack due to software limitations

For this just complain MCMC about this (force bundle unifi TV + not honoring the retention offer)

Upon you register for Digi to port over, you just bring the transfer ID to thumbprint at Tmpoint. Actually no need to return the BTU when you port over, and downtime is less than 10 minutes during the installation. Digi and TM technician will come over to check your line, and Digi tech will just swap the router to a Digi router and configure the connection. If you lucky enough like me, TM technician replace the BTU for free.

Now for your case, you definitely kena kencing by the retention team. Instead of giving you RM129 for 300mbps, they give you RM159 for 300mbps. RM159 +6% tax, monthly you need to pay RM168.54. Now the deal is done, your contract also extended for another 2 years because you agree to take the offer. Some more without any proof, not easy for you to fight this case but I wish you good luck.

Dont everything happened and said Unifi is a scammer. Same thing can happened to other telco.

The guy from retention team or whatsoever definitely not close the proper job. Else you won't get new type of charge after the call.

Dont wait. Just file complaint to MCMC to speed up the process to settle the issue.

Amount wise still the same la since i coming from RM129 100mbps, just that package name different.
If I remember correctly the bill updated on my next new bill after upgraded.
(but I waited 3 weeks for them then only suddenly receive surprise SMS 1 hour before the installation time that stated in SMS saying installer are coming doh.gif , on the phone they told me 3 working days when they offer me the package)

I guess you are unlucky case there, the person that offer you not up to his/her job
what is the package name that stated on your bill ? mine was with a package name something like "staywithunifi"
maxis got call me before to offer port out but I was lazy going through the termination process.

hi TS, im planning to do the port out also. in ur case u are currently on TM contract and wanted to do the port out to Digi? if yes, how much is the penalty and did Digi absorb the penalty for u?

Alamak I called and ask TM customer service they told me this is the procedure In 1 week must go to TM point return and not mistaken the guy who called me also said this. And another thing they also must proof that I say yes to the package but mana orang so bodoh kasi mahal tu package LOL >.<. If under contract for 2 years mahal I will fight tribunal la... I got screenshot I kena called by this 2 number I think they can check the recorded call

Ya but I only use the internet. Phone Line also xda pakai. Wanted to complain to MCMC but wait for unifi to respond. If Tiada I report sama port out terus Since It's so simple. No need to return the BTU. and no internet downtime. I really thought the process diffcult to port out.

If Im not mistaken u must clear everything with TM then can port out. Mine 2018 package not under contract so no penalty

Don't play play if still in contract. Unifi termination within contract period need to pay penalty for remaining months.
And Digi do not cover anything. So only port out after your contract end.

Actually just go to Tmpoint and submit thumbprint with your Digi transfer ID only. Because Digi still need to use back the same BTU from TM.

If you already use Digi postpaid 90 and above, regardless if Unifi offer is RM129 for 300mbps, you still save more by switching over to Digi.

Your contract already renew 2 years from the date of you changing the plan. If you were to port out sure kena penalty for remaining months. It is not as simple as you think, hence you need to report to MCMC and see how TM can settle your problem.
