recent case of the new threads vanished without a trace
eg: malayneum threads, cstkl1 gpu review, and some other i cant remember...

it seems that this kind problem start to manifest after the new upgrade to the server

could this possible
that the threads created failed to registered to the server itself?

just an observer....

ps: to those have this kind of problems, please be patient,
for the case of provocative threadstarters, this could be possible,
but for cstkl1 case, it is highly improbable that a mod could delete/invinsible the innocent threads

but at least be patient.... wink.gif

we're looking into it. Threads are never directly deleted but moved to a recycle bin. However, at this moment, we can't seem to locate cstkl1's thread. It doesn't help that he seems to be more interested in whining instead of helping us figure out what happened.

We should figure out the problem soon. We still believe it is isolated incidents are nothing serious.

Thanks for your input. There are some identified problems with the new setup, but the database side of things is still sane smile.gif

cstkl1's topic was not deleted; rather it was merged into http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/516165

As for malayneum, a clarification has already been given.

When I have more time, I'll code in something to notify thread starters of their threads being closed/deleted/merged/etc to prevent future misunderstandings.

Added on September 26, 2007, 11:22 amIn any case, merged threads can be split back into its original threads. And merged again. And split again. And over. Without loss of fidelity. Even without monster cables. And out.
