Claimed wet weight is 232kg with the 18-litre tank at 90% capacity, which is pretty substantial compared to a full-tank Yamaha Ténéré 700 (205kg) or new Aprilia Tuareg 660 (204kg).

Should be sold cheaper for the spec it offers. Not that much HP either compared to the vstrom. But I wouldn't call it fake though. It it just like Proton and Geely. IMHO, it looks miles better than the vstrom 650 which has a really unacceptable headlamp design. RM5k to RM6k lower for each variant will put it on better terms with the market.

to be fair.. Moroni advantages.

1. Better looks
2. better suspension. (marzocchi)
3. better ground clearance

Disadvantages

1. Expensive
2. No TCS
3. Heavy (steel tube frame)

Both bike Vstorm and Morini cant be use for serious offroad, jalan sawit off road perhaps can .. so it geared up for a adv touring type of bike on paved road..

Yup. Most below 1,000cc ADV bikes these days are built for light off-roading only and were somewhat designed to replace Sport Tourers...which is a sad thing because I love Sport Tourers like the R1200RS or even my old FZ6R. Sportier bikes in this grey segment today include Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and Moto Guzzi v100 Mandello.

Serious offroad, no. But jalan sawit & off-the-beaten-track kind of paths, can. V-strom at least, the X-cape I dunno coz it's new.

Actually these types of bikes are more capable than what ppl give them credit for. Especially those with 19" front wheels. I don't blame them, as not many Malaysians would dare take an expensive shiny big bike off-road & risk dropping it.

I'm not the off-roader type myself, until one day I came across a blocked road due to some construction. Either I double back to take the freakin' long way around, or went off the road to climb uphill, cut cross an unpaved & uneven field under some trees with heavy bumps & ruts to get to the other road. At the end of it, I had to jump off the tall kerb onto the road. Definitely not something you would attempt in a passenger car or a streetbike... but once I stood up on the pegs, used my knees & kept loose on the bars, I was surprised how easy & fun it was on my bike. The extra ground clearance & 19" front really made a difference in negotiating the deep ruts & bumps.

Like everybody else, I bought the bike for my urban commute & on-road touring. But hey it's nice to know it actually has some decent off-road competencies in reserve should the occasion call for them.

What’s with the Chinese making bikes that’s 20% heavier than competitors ? And what’s with mforce thinking their bikes that can charge a premium over their more reputable, more reliable competitors?

At the recent 2022 Givi Rimba Raid Kuala Tahan,

A sole mmorini xcape managed to finish the race in under 5 hours.

Out of 66 riders in Class B, only 26 managed to finish the race.
The xCape is at #15 position.

Tons of bmw ktm DNF

Surprisingly only 3 triumphs were there, all 3 DNF.
No thai rider is using triumph,
the weapon of choice is Tenere700

bukit taubat is the achilles' heel for all the big bikes.

nobody expected that xcape to survive. but it did.
next year expect more manufacturer to sponsor their bikes to compete.

Next year's RR will be held in Sabah. At least that is what I heard from Capt. Ridzwan's team.
