all cars today are actually underpower due to emission regulation
but p2 took it a step further

the formula you're saying has past a long way already
they're no longer sticking to the same formula anymore
last time p2 car are fuel efficient and easy/cheap to maintain car...now p2 car is no longer that anymore

I agree on the maintenance part being more expensive,

But fuel efficient wise, they still the leader compared to competitor

Take bezza vs saga,

Myvi vs iriz

Alza vs exora,

Its hard to beat na 1.5/turbo 1.0 with dual ctv fuel efficiency and light body

what's the point on being a little more fuel efficient when everything else will cover back the cost later in the days
all those electronics doesn't last long or if you're involve in any accident(major or minor)..it's gonna come out of insurance or your own pocket to fix it

the turbo...are u gonna drive it until it fail thn replace it with a new turbo or are u gonna service it?

when your car doesn't have all these thing...there is literally nothing to break laugh.gif
there is a reason why p1 don't go down that route

Erm, i think p1 is already heading that way, turbo, electronic and such, so ur point of p1 dont go down that route is incorrect, lol

X50/70 turbo, auto parking voice control, etc, dont get me started with preve turbo or exora turbo

Iriz is the last revision already, will be replaced by geely, even that also is ctv+1.6na with tons of electronic feature,

So p2 do have advantage in fuel efficient, albeit they are tin kosong in body structures

don't directly compare X50/X70 with the rest of the line up
it's not proton's production and not something proton would sell...those are rebadge...basically geely's gateway into the RHD market

rest of the line up until today still do not have 1 bit of that DNA at all

their last product that has and is experimenting that concept is preve...after that completely discontinued and no more such car is being released
p1 is also the latest in the market to adapt EPS because they had to find the correct replacement

TBH, ever since p1 and p2 introduced EPS into their car...that is the moment both of them diverge
1 remain as little electronics in their car as possible...the other kept adding more and more
until today p1 never announce they had any ASA in development to "compete" with p2

X50 is their best selling suv, and like it or not proton have no saying anymore, lol, and its still a proton, much like rebadged Daihatsu by p2

Iriz ,persona will be replaced by geely new model, so the direction still the same

Proton always experiment or rebadged with their model, so that's no one off thing,

Consumer always look for new features (not you), so keeping electronic minimum is impossible for future or new model, hence the downfall of proton before geely save them

It has reverse sensor but does it have reverse camera? All that electronics can just add reverse cam.

One question tho, If you bring total 6 people can their luggage muat or not? Assuming everyone brings one cabin sized luggage.

if mpv, it should be low like the current alza... if it is tall, then its a "suv".
