Hello all, would like to update again this year as I’ve gotten a new opportunity last month.

My monthly gross salary in RM (not including allowances, only base) progression:
2016 (started in Dec): 3K
2017: 3.3K (confirmation) -> 3.6K
2018: 3.8K -> 6K (promotion)
2019: 6.5K
2020: 6.7K -> 8.1K (new job)
2021: 10K (new job)
2022: 16K (new job)
2023: 18K -> 24K (new job)

Recently join an MNC at KLCC area, they are one of the top 10 players in their industry. The role is mostly in management with little to no technical implementation. Not sure I’ll like it but no harm trying.

Let’s see how. Will update again if any changes in the near future.

Current salary against peers in industry: Feels like very underpaid when comparing against the HR job posting and close friends.
Growth prospects : Hard to jump to senior if stay at current company as competing with hundreds of candidates within the same level.
Where I will go from here : I hope I can get at >10k salary on the next jump. 1 factor limiting me from jumping is scare no one is willing to hire an old guy like me and pay as much and scare wont get the same benefits outside this company.

Please advise sifu.
