Just joined the find n5 group and upgrading from z fold 5.

Z fold 5 resale value is really low.

Anyone bought extended warranty and etc? Wonder worth getting.

Went to Pavillion KL OPPO.

Bought extended warranty only rm199!!! Everything is covered. Don't even need to keep receipt, cause based on serial number only. Warranty details immediately appear in my OPPO app.

Need to buy extended warranty within 7 days of activating phone.

Theres extended warranty option for screen, another rm199 which is covering drops, cracks etc. For my use case, don't need it.

SAMSUNG charges a lot then. Time to boycott Samsung.

Check whether it's turned on? It's hidden deep.

Mobile network - select the sim. The sin info and settings appear. Turn on volte calls and wifi calling

Got the pixel phone? Test there then can have conclusion. Maybe it's oppo compatibility with network.

Not worth it. Oppo lacking deals like Samsung during preorder.

UPDATE: Ended up buying screen protection and extended warranty. Rm398.

Apparently Pavilion KL says the screen protector can get replacement at the service centre. Free up to 2 times a year. That’s for front and folded.

Anyone can confirm this? Not sure did I hear wrongly, that day was late and rushing a bit.

The color science of the camera is on point. Pretty awesome pics.

Bit disappointed with iPhone 16 PM. Haha.

I dont recall, i enquired at Mines oppo store. Very low. Even Samsung trade in is like RM1XXX. Very very low, since i am bias to compare with a much older iPhone. I recall CEX and CompAsia was bit higher.

Just go and quote cause it’s also based on condition. Mine unfortunately got a few dings on the middle frame. Dropped when the phone was folded. Probably why they deducted more.

Oppo magnetic case at least always cover the middle frame area which is good, lacking the front protection.


But one thing for sure, you wont regret getting this. I’m also z fold 5 user.

I think it’s decent, nowadays electronics, you really expect to last longer than 5 years? That includes TV, fridge etc.

2) On Samsung OneUI and Oppo, i dont know, not much (also I’m using like secondary phone with iOS as main), biggest is the Samsung ecosystem, of course it’s not as lock in compare to Apple. Samsung has the customization and tweaking app, but not useful for everyone.

Samsung pay is better than Google pay option on Oppo. Oppo advantage got some software to do “AirDrop” and MacOS integration. (Gimmicky).

Samsung AI slightly better than what Oppo offering. Other than that, it’s Android!!

Oppo rollout of colorOS is definitely faster. (Maybe smaller phone portfolio). Samsung is slow, z fold 5 is only beta phase for latest Android.

3) Oppo warranty is cheaper. Rm199 for extended warranty. Rm199 for screen damage protection.
On paper, i dont have prior experience, but at least way cheaper than Samsung first.

Maybe personal preference. Also, Samsung pay allows me to register and use as secondary device. Google pay forces authentication with bank app on same device. So im definitely a little more bias. Hehe

Tested mine. It's working both wifi calling and sms with airplane mode on. Im using digi. Does unifi support wifi calling?

Well said. So far all these android guarantees are best effort. But I said also 5 years is a good life span expectation for a phone.

Ya, listed AI just for comparison. Other than that, coloros is comparable. I somewhat believe oppo learnt a lot from one plus ventures.

Your price pretty decent. As I said my middle frame got a few dings so price dropped rm1.8k rm1.9k for me.

Can get warranty for it? Or consider cosmetic?

If u deep into Apple, even Samsung ecosystem can't compare, quite difficult for n5.

Maybe like me, have the best of both worlds.

I did buy the lens protector. Notice some scratches on the magnetic cover case camera rim.
