Hi, sorry im really a virgin on this whole marriage issue.

Current status: Would like to get engaged first. Then marry in months time.

Questions:
1. What is the difference between engagement ring, proposal ring, wedding ring, wedding band ? there's too many diff terms. i heard we need only one Engagement Ring to Propose and One Pair of Wedding Band to Exchange during the vow?
2. I want to secretly get a ring to propose (probs tiffany/cartier as she mentioned before) but I dont know how to get her size without blowing my cover. How?

Any other more tips/info that this, do let me know.

1) You are right, one engagement ring during proposal (usually the diamond one), and one pair of wedding band later. For now, you only need to focus on engagement ring.

2) No worry, just agak her finger size (like... when you hold her hand, is her ring finger similar size to your pinky finger?). Buy first based on estimation, later, the jewellery can help you to adjust the size (usually for free).

For no.2:

1. You can either estimate her finger size, and resize it later, but remember don't go too far off, better keep within 2 sizes up or down.

2. Get the diamond first, and use a temporary holder like this:


3. Get a placeholder ring instead (for example, some sterling silver ring with cubic zirconia, not the final engagement ring). Once proposed successful, only bring her to get the engagement ring.
