MARINA is already expected to leave after this summer transfer windows. If BOEHLY think he can take over immediately, i believe MARINA will be happy to leave immediately as she no longer have the power like what RA used to give her regarding club decision.

Lets look at it objectively... Reddit and twitter cfc fans also not on her side

Just wanna say it wasn't always bed and roses, and marina also not exactly a saint. Eventually loan army and poor decisions regarding transfers did come back to bite us

Also despite this, boehly wanted marina to stay at least until proper handover can be completed , it's marina who die2 want to leave during transfer window

right - now that does gives off some strong heebie-jeebies vibes - it's like, better to run ASAP before all the dirt under the carpet is found kind of thing. Guess she know it's only a matter of time before she gets knock.gif

Yes, if you say anything bad about marina, you get downvoted in some forums

Me 50-50

Good: she oversaw some great transfers, academy, women team, Nike deal

Bad: lots of wishy washy stuff after emenalo left, trying to be dof without experience, installed a crony scouting chief, resulting in some really embarrassing transfers, overbloated wage bill, driving force behind loan army that caused academy talent drain, ffp backlash

It can be argued she had free reign to do all this cos roman money
In boehly regime, there will be less room and tolerance for mistakes like this for sure

I agree with u not all her decision is correct, i have no problem if she is leaving or staying. Someone posted here her status was "open to new opportunity" or something similar when the club went up for sale, naturally that means she is leaving probably after the transfer windows. I am more than happy if BOEHLY bring someone of his own, is his club now, we would like to see improvement, without MARINA leaving we will not know whether we can get better CEO to do a better job or worse. For MARINA, i only have thank you for her when she left the club, she contributed to what CHE it is now, a great club. You can argue CHE might have won more without her, but that is hypothetical. Truth is she leave us in a good state instead of a BARCA/MANU. New owner new style, bring it on, for better or worse we will see in the future.

Problem is some of the issue u blame the board does not make sense, like u trying to pin LUKAKU flop solely on the board when they splash 100m backing TT when he need a striker and again the target is with TT blessing. Those academy talent that is let go is because the manager did not want to utilize them. Do you think the board let go KDB/SALAH ? that is JM unable to utilize them because we have MAZACAR in the first eleven. Over bloated wages ? FFP ? you the one that keep saying pay whatever RUDIGER want to keep him, pay whatever to bring HAALAND in.

Those loan army situation i will have to agree board have to share the blame. I said share blame, because those backup player dont come in without the manager say yes. Board should have stay firm and ask manager utilize our youth player. Ok now come the fans, ppl want ALONSO replaced, do you have the patience and wait till we sell him then buy a new player ? or buy a new player first and when ALONSO refuse to leave then turn into loan army again ? or do we sell ALONSO then use EMERSON/KENNEDY as backup or continue let them be in loan army ?
*
That's unfair to tuchel since he's only with us for 1.5 seasons

This issue with bad signings has been going on long before tuchel joined

Conte was vocal about it and even remarked the huge disparity between what he wanted and what the board gave him

About rudiger, initially rudiger wanted to renegotiate his contract, board only want to offer him 1 year extension with no increase on his 100k wages. When Real Madrid offered him 400k later, it was already too late

So this window onwards we can blame boehly if any transfer not work out? 😂

Boehly not football guy, actually his first move would be to install a capable and experienced DOF

Anyways, boehly supposedly will give tuchel absolute power to decide on transfers this window

I agree is unfair but these loan army issue is CHE problem, as a CHE manager now, it became part of his problem cause those wage bill indirectly affecting the player he can get now and future. Actually i dont think TT and board can do much now, as long no buyer, they unwilling to leave, CHE can only subside their salary, let them go out on loan and wait for their contract expired. But like the example i mention earlier with ALONSO, does TT want to continue creating this loan army cycle ? We need to at least confirm we can sell ALONSO (waiting BARCA), then only we can get someone in, else the cycle continue. Bad news is things have been quiet on our first team outgoing, nobody was link for a transfer to other club, this will limit TT bringing new player even if he have the fund.

Regarding KOUNDE deal, i am not sure is we waiting for KOUNDE decision or SEVILLA waiting for us to up offer, media seem like indicating the later. For LUKAKU if we accept INTER peanut offer then the deal is thru. Both of these i believe BOEHLY can intervene and get this through immediately, but why does he not ? I am not complaining, prefer to let the expert assign to the job to make the decision and judge later.

Why RUDIGER initial contract offer is so bad ? because he is not LAMPARD first 11, he was totally ignore by LAMPARD, so naturally board will not go against the manager and offer something great to RUDIGER. That why i say, how can we blame board on everything when manager have the most say on things regarding players.
*
To me, it seems ex-board members are being unprofessional and just resign without completing handover. Boehly is not football person and he needs time to settle in and find their replacements, and this complicates things for club during a crucial time like this.

Lakaka deal already not in our favour from the beginning, if marina still in charge he will be rotting on the bench but club still pay his salary. Also will keep pressing tuchel to play him so lakaka's value won't drop too much. Guessing boehly did the math and just loan lakaka and get inter to pay his wages. Win win for all parties

Negotiations also happen during tuchel time after rudiger put in winning performance in champions league and before real madrid talked to him about their offer. Rudiger cakap board left him hanging for 5 months

QUOTE
Rudiger's form under Tuchel led to Chelsea re-opening contract negotiations in August 2021, with the Blues now willing to offer him a £140,000-a-week salary.

Both the player and his representatives felt that undervalued Rudiger, and talks again stalled, with no further contact made between the two parties until January, when other clubs were also free to talk to the ex-Stuttgart star.

“Unfortunately, my contract negotiations had already started to get difficult last fall,"Rudiger said in a considered interview with Players' Tribune.

“Business is business, but when you don’t hear any news from the club from August to January, the situation becomes complicated.

“After the first offer, there was a long gap of just nothing. We’re not robots, you know? You cannot wait for months with so much uncertainty about your future.

- Chelsea will eventually appoint a Sporting Director. It will be very difficult to get anybody in for this window. Todd Boehly probably feels that, along with Tuchel & some supporting staff,  they can get through this transfer window.”

- In a meeting with Todd Boehly, Romelu Lukaku made it absolutely clear that he wanted to leave Chelsea, after which Boehly set the wheels in motion for Lukaku’s return to Inter through his connections at Roc Nation

- There will be a loan fee of around £8-10m (depending on add-ons). Lukaku will take a hefty wage cut, maybe as much as 40%. Chelsea, I’m told, have negotiated themselves into a situation where they won’t have to pay any of his wages.

- Chelsea’s interest in Raheem Sterling is real and strong. At the moment, Sterling is at the top of Chelsea’s list, but they HAVE NOT yet made any bid

- Cech’s interview gives an idea of what him and Marina were hoping, trying to keep Lukaku & make it work.
Boehly came in and told Tuchel it’s his call and they will do what Tuchel wants”

- Todd Boehly & Thomas Tuchel decided that sorting out the Romelu Lukaku situation early in the window was the priority over incoming transfer business

This explains some things

Why sterling tho? Another sitter missing merchant

Todd and tuchel bromance lul, will tuchel be our SAF?

Yes, if between these two, Sterling will be less risky.
Worry that Dembele might be another baby or season pass holder to the treatment table
*
Man city wants 60m for sterling
Tuchel worked with dembele before, plus he's available for free

Dembele is the less riskier option, if possible loan with option to buy

I say bite the bullet first until boehly can get his analysts into the club next summer

Roman ruthless with manager only, with crony board he close one eye

Like if I was investor, I would be pissed off at kepa, lakaka signing

I rather we go for Raphina than dembele...

Dembele also decided to stay at barca already so raphinha la, but he also being pursued by other clubs

So kounde no more, now de ligt is target. Ok la, he got the height for epl, can do well. Kounde with his height and bad temper just sounds like a bad decision from day one

So after cech statement, now we know that lakaka is actually board signing, not what tuchel wants.
