Rumor day Liv want dembele
*
If liv want dembele, they will get dembele
If chelsea want dembele, when see price chicken out and get some other championship player we end up benching

Over the years, can see the failings of our board beginning to bite us

After barrage of players wanting to leave chelsea this summer, suddenly our decision to sell tomori, guehi, tammy don't look so smart anymore

Anyways not saying marina and cech isn't capable, but it seems like they're just playing football manager and how low can I go. They get 10% right and other 90% wrong

Deciding on transfers, which players to sign should be left to people who's really good at their job, experienced, have good eye for talent, and understands the big picture on long term team building

OK so is a holding midfielder than sit in the mid and intercept ball, actually that is JORG job but you prefer someone better. OK any upgrade is welcome. The reference to MATIC was way too defensive for current TT formation, as we are playing a back 3, so during attack we do not need a MATIC sitting at the back unlike playing a back 2. Defensive wise we are OK in current TT formation, i say OK because we have been solid since TT came in until recently bocor like no tomorrow.

Problem i see with the team is we rely on WB too much, need midfield to contribute more. Attacking wise we know what TT formation can do when TIMO was the CF, it was good and very attractive, a lot chances created although fail to finish by TIMO. Seem TT not planning to go with TIMO anymore and he have problem utilizing LUKAKU.

1) CB first priority
2) Backup for WB with AZPI leaving soon and ALONSO if we sell.
3) Get a new CF if we have to, sell LUKAKU if we have to. Although i still think we can utilizing him better as a target man because his layoff ball to teammate is actually very good like how we have GIROUD last time. But if TT still prefer a pressing forward then so be it.
4) IF we get above 3, I dont think we have fund for a new midfield, unless we sell 1 starter and buy 1. Bring back GALLAGHER if we have to.

If u think MARINA and CECH not doing good enuff and we need someone better is OK. We might actually get it with new owner, but maybe not immediately as replacing them with such a short time will not be easy and still need proper handover. High chances MARINA will leave as she will not have the power like what RA have given her. I am completely fine with that.

But some of your statement actually contradicting, the LIV and DEMBELE example u better replace it with MANC than are more believable. LIV are even more budget conscious, else SALAH would have signed. FSG are going the moneyball approach, they sign player base on statistic which i think they have been doing very good. They would not pay over the odds.

Those player u mention we sold and invested back in the squad, remember the 90m LUKAKU ? If you forget, we owed RA 1.5B , this is aint Football Manager, we have to balance the books somehow. We are already lucky to have RA bankroll us but he is not PSG, MANC owner level. With our new owner, we will need to spend even more responsibly, i will be happy if we can do as good as FSG. Those player u mention if not sold will most likely end up like ALONSO, whole season fans demanded to be sold, as they is not good enough or surpass to requirement.

Is a trend now player running out their contract, AC4 give us a verbal agreement but decided to uturn and ask for more, with the package RUDI getting from RM, how much do you think he ask from CHE ? All the talk to highjack TCHOUMENI deal with higher pay etc. this shall not happen, this is the right decision by the board to stick to the pay structure. Lets say we pay AC4 200K and RUDI 300K, CHALOBAH will come in and say he same level with AC4 deserve 200K also. Then KAI say he is the most important player in the squad he deserve at least 300K. Immediately we will end up like MANU, then if they performance drop like OZIL and refuse to leave ? we end up like ARS too. Even if we can afford it, they arent GOAT MESSI and CR7 level, not even MBAPPE, NEYMAR, HAALAND famous to break wage structure for.

Keen to believe that liverpool already done their homework and has a list of target signings. So if they really want dembele and think he can slot in to their team, they're willing to break the bank for him. And most of the time, their signings fit their team like a glove. Example, allison, vvd, diaz (those are not cheap signings)

Our wage structure already broke af, we're paying deadweights like kepa, saul, drinkwater, barkley and sarr up to 150k pw to warm the bench, while mount and reece james earns less than 80k pw, ever since loan army is outlawed and we're bleeding money left and right so they're using 'we can't break our wage structure' reasoning to save cost

Hopefully boehly will bring that moneyball management style to chelsea, we need to find ways to increase revenue and spend wisely

ya i agree with u, LIV seem to have very clear target, I believe DIAZ was only meant to come in the summer windows but they accelerate the signing because TOT was going for him on the last transfer. Same with the FUL kids CARVALHO, they know what they want.

gg JAMES on 80k, running down contract going RM soon laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif but i think that is a normal wage in other club for upcoming youth sub player. First 11, should be around 150K+-, while important play 250K+-. JAMES deserve a bumper deal since he already cemented as first 11. But with MBAPPE 1m per week, football wages have gone crazy rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital completes acquisition of Chelsea Football Club

The consortium led by Todd Boehly, chairman and CEO of Eldridge, and Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates, “Clearlake”), today announced completion of the ownership transfer of Chelsea Football Club (“Chelsea FC” or “the Club”). The consortium also includes Hansjörg Wyss, founder of the Wyss Foundation, and Mark Walter, co-founder and CEO of Guggenheim Capital. Walter and Boehly are owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Sparks. The transaction has received all necessary approvals from The Government of the United Kingdom, The Premier League, and other authorities.

Under the terms of the agreement, Boehly and Clearlake will share joint control and equal governance of the Club. Boehly will serve as Chairman of the holding company.

Boehly and Clearlake are committed to investing in key areas that will extend and enhance Chelsea’s competitiveness, including the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge, further investment in the Academy, the Women’s Team, and Kingsmeadow stadium. The owners will also continue the important work of the Chelsea Foundation.

“We are honoured to become the new custodians of Chelsea Football Club,” said Boehly. “We’re all in – 100% -- every minute of every match. Our vision as owners is clear: we want to make the fans proud. Along with our commitment to developing the youth squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan of action is to invest in the Club for the long-term and build on Chelsea’s remarkable history of success. I personally want to thank ministers and officials in the British government, and the Premier League, for all their work in making this happen.”

Also board fault for bringing in 2nd choice who don't fit tuchel system, should be no brainer cos we sold tammy, giroud and loan broja but end up buy like for like replacement in lakaka lul

If need striker, need to sign vet who willing to start from the bench

Problems first began to arise in the early weeks of the 2020-21 campaign, when Frank Lampard told the Germany international that he would be Chelsea's fifth-choice centre back following the arrival of Thiago Silva.

Though naturally disappointed, Rudiger was, however, able to force his way up the pecking order, rising to third in Lampard's defensive hierarchy, with his improvements triggering Chelsea to open contract talks with a player who was approaching the final 18 months of his deal.

The offer that was forthcoming, however, singled the beginning of the end of his time in west London.

Chelsea were only willing to offer Rudiger a one-year extension to his contract, rather than fresh terms, meaning his salary would remain at £100,000-a-week until the summer of 2023.

The Blues would also have been willing to let him leave on loan in the January 2021 transfer window, with AC Milan showing a keen interest before they switched their attentions to Rudiger's Chelsea team-mate, Fikayo Tomori.

Regardless, Rudiger was open to signing the contract, and even agreed to the terms verbally. The issue was a demand for a small signing-on bonus was dismissed out of hand, despite it helping Chelsea retain the value of the player, by director Marina Granovskaia.

From that moment on, Rudiger's time as a Chelsea player has been on the clock.
