I think he is an amazing guy who provided millions of job opportunities to people in ASEAN.
Yes his background helps but that's not the point. Grab is highly successful and he is a great businessman.
Alot of people talking about toxic culture and stuff, but people need to understand that it's a middle management problem, because most things break in the middle.
And by saying that he was born a silver spoon, that's the whole point isn't it? He couldn't have just relax and take over the tan Chong empire but he decided to built something from the ground up. You need to give him some respect.
And why r people so salty? The grab app is one of the useful and most frequently used app. Better than the likes of TikTok, Instagram, etc.
This and it came from CoolStoryWriter. Lol
He basically kick started the gig economy with Grab car, then when lockdown came, he pivot to Grabfood, Grabmart etc to provide a living to those who caught by the pandemic and also connecting businesses with more business. You can call him an opportunist but so many job opportunities were created not only in Malaysia but all around SEA. I am not a fan of Grab because I think one shouldn't be lazy to cook or to go out and buy but it does has its one target market.
Credit has to be given to him for what he has done, and born rich has shouldn't be the equation here. So many other 36542654125347 ppl are born rich as well but do you see them doing something or just waiting to take over the father's business and become CEO.
Still wonder what did he scam on.
