Hi parents,
Please forgive my broken English. Just need assurance that I'm not alone here.
Does anyone child not schooling anymore due to mco?
Few years back my son not wanted in SKC because all they care about was score. I'm highly confident he can study there if given the time because he is mild autistic but school have no time to see slow improvement on a child.

So I took him out and registered him in a Christian based private school. They teach in Singapore syllabus. Sometimes attend class physically sometimes online. It really depend on the management. All this changes not only making my son mood swing but I can't cope with it but 100% of the time the school preferred the parent to teach them what they were taught in school.

This made me so depress as I am not willing to spend so many thousand on this school and at the end I'm the one teaching him. I'm so frust because I am not good in schooling during young and I was in kebangsaan school but now I need to teach my son Singapore syllabus study that I have no nuts what they are about not to mention they history study is not about Malaysia but international history study.

I wanted to stop his schooling now not because he can't deal with it but Im the one can't deal with it.
If there are any recommendation of tuition on this type of syllabus please recommend me. I'll probably just let him tuition and regarding the exam maybe discuss with tuition teacher how to manually register him. I don't know. I'm just so lost.

I have thought of that too but I'm abit phobia now with private school. They gave me the impression that it caters for high educated parents because they will need the parent to teach the children.
I'm almost 50 Yr old, I can't do this anymore, it's depressing for me to go back to my younger time and study all over again for my son, if u know what I mean.
If u come across private school in Klang that do not need parents concern about every page of their child study please inform me.

The first thing you need to decide firmly on is whether you want your son to give up Mandarin language or not. If you feel Mandarin is extremely important, then the only way is to put him back in SJKC which is free. The subsequent path will be Du Zhong which are private Chinese secondary schools which will prepare him for UEC.

Sjkc gave him up its not that I do not want to besides he hates it so much. I do not mind him learning Chinese or not.
The school has quota to fulfill, they do not want to waste time on autistic children. A few of his friends with the same symptom too was out from the school.

If really out of no choice I'll just put him in regular Sek Rendah Kebangsaan although I really hate that the school bullying case are increasing. Even in Chinese school previously he got beaten up head bleeding, what more can I expect from Sek Ren Kebangsaan

i had a neighbor friend who had AHDH, and cannot focus in class.
his parents were so supportive of him and gave him full freedom. attending kebangasaan. not because of the syllabus, because the parents know he mingles with good friends and a lot of positive energy surrounding him. the parents doesn't care about his grade as long as he is happy with friends.

the school was not in great, and not too bad. end of the day is the kid's growing up stage, u dont want him to be growing up in hatred and fear that could impact his later life.

and.... I stopped believing private schools are the best, private schools have funds used to push marketing schemes, u don't see government schools do that as much as private. during my uni time, i mingle with a wrong group of friends who were famous private school graduates, and many of them I find are either ignorant or arrogant, lack of empathy and doesn't bother about surroundings, ended up being a bully or some sort.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I'm not really into pushing him all because of his condition, I even said to the school I do not mind him studying a grade for 2 years while other children going up a grade each year.
But it's always the school that's pushing the scores.
His dad is also very supportive but rarely care what he learn at school. It's always me and I'm so depress. The dad thought he paid that much and the school settle everything but actually the wife that did all the job, I don't know what's the point of him paying that much for the school.

Can I know what's the requirement for 11 Yr old children to study in Sek kebangsaan? Do they start according to their age or can I put my son into earlier class like darjah 2 or 3?

This time I don't think I want to let the school knows about his mild autistic problem because I'm scared school will kick him out like what Skjc did

You can try the Eduseeds program. It is usually church-based but there are certain centres that are not within churches. The fees are reasonable and it prepares the child for IGCSE at his own pace. If you are worried about bullying, you can choose the ones that are conducted inside churches. Please bear in mind that I'm not trying to proselytise anyone here. Just giving suggestions.

Get your child placed in a government school that has a PPKI program (Sekolah Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi)

You can choose sjkc too. Google I think you can one near your house.

PPK I oredi registered twice for certain area school class but they did not reply me despite giving all full info for them, my son has the oku card it's useless. 90% cater to bumi 10% for others, my son will never get the chance for such gov school.

As for the sjkc, they do not want my son. They have no time for disability children, they only concern good grade and general students.

*whomever that have oku child that planning on register their child into sjkc PLEASE listen to me. NEVER TO REVEAL YOUR CHILD AS OKU or autism or slight ADHD. Just keep quiet so the school do not have the right to kick them out.

I heard some Parents download those US programmes to teach on their own, instead of sending the Kids to school. I'm not sure if it will really works.
Hope you don't be too stress about this, afterall, it's just academic. Many people succeed without formal education.
Can slowly learn.
