theres ppl who has used this bike with no issues.
i am not one of those people. i have lost all confidence in any modenas bikes. i have the first gen Kriss 110. had to overhaul every 1-2 years. i also have the GT128. also have to overhaul every 1-2 years despite taking care of it and servicing every month (changing oil and filter @ around 1k km). id recommend looking at the honda wave alpha instead. |

Sounds like now no good.
Last time was good engine and body. I like that it still carburetor with kick starter. some ppl prefer electric starter and injection, but more things to fix when spoil and battery must strong else bike cannot start maybe this is why older bikes are going up in price because their better value compare to new bikes these days injection easier to set until jimat2 petrol, karburetor can set to beat injection but quite difficult. power and throttle smoothness depending on user preference also la |

QUOTE(Ash55 @ Apr 4 2022, 11:25 AM) really can't recommend anything as I focus on 2 stroke bikes onlypick a few that you like, and then learn about it prepare to do some minor repair with a set of 8, 10 and 12 spannar otherwise any kapcai maintenance also high if keep bring to mechanic to check If I really really really have to pick one, probably wave future or newer, those with fuel injection and disk brake, but honda engine and parts many different from different models, some mechanic also headache or suzuki shogun which are heavy and super reliable but lack of parts if want stability, honda RS150 I think can get but second hand another option is go ask those mechanic around your area what bike they recommend to be honest, mechanic only want you to come service tukar engine oil and tayar only, don't like ppl bring bike in and ask for overhaul everytime |

DRB-HICOM QC issues aside, its a shit bike that's essentially a Zongshen rebadge. Signal lights will not work when using the rear brake (this does not appear to be a QC issue that is consistent with all of the new Kriss). Very unstable, fragile as fuck exhaust that ends up breaking within 2 years coming from most owners. Look into a second hand Modenas Dinamik or even a brand new old stock one if you can. Yes, running cost more expensive because its a two stroke, but at least its reliable. GT128 seems too be fine to but is also subject to DRB-HICOM's typical QC shenanigans. Or you can buy an older model EX5. Older Modenas bikes are tanks since they were based on Kawasaki cubs sold in Thailand and Indonesia if you are able to win the DRB-HICOM gacha lottery. If you really have to buy brand new, get the CT115s since that is still based on Kawi cub. This post has been edited by iambryan1234: May 3 2022, 04:19 AM Ash55 liked this post

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Apr 3 2022, 01:45 PM) theres ppl who has used this bike with no issues. Sorry for reviving this thread but I just need to say this.i am not one of those people. i have lost all confidence in any modenas bikes. i have the first gen Kriss 110. had to overhaul every 1-2 years. i also have the GT128. also have to overhaul every 1-2 years despite taking care of it and servicing every month (changing oil and filter @ around 1k km). id recommend looking at the honda wave alpha instead. I had 2 Modenas bikes, and 1 I'm currently still using. It is also the same as yours, first gen Kriss 110 with no electric starter then a GT128 first batch..None of this gave me any problem throughout their service although the GT128 plastic rattles after a few years. My current one is 2018 Pulsar NS200 and has been very reliable ever since I fixed that loose main fuse after 1 week use. Suddenly cannot start and no power, they really need to up their QC. So my advise, if anyone is thinking of getting SYM or Aveta or something non traditional choices just because they're cheap. Get a Modenas instead. I went to a bike shop recently and a new WMOTO ES125 just got out of the shop, came back a while later because the odometer is not working. So they open up the NEW bike, saw that the sensor is unplugged. I'm thinking of getting ES250 but this really does make me hesitate with all the other Mforce related QC problems out there. |

Bike is underpowered. I own one suitable to go market... speedmart etc. or high risk of motorbike theft area. But 33km one way on a kriss is lousy, slow & boring. praetorion liked this post

A different topic.
My BIL bought an MR3 to park his number plate but left bike with me. Haven’t started it for 4 months, lately gone start it and difficult to start or keep idle. I gave it a new battery. What can be problem? It’s totally new, only 7km on clock. |
