Hi ,i wanna ask ,anyone here pernah replace their cimb debit card online ?
I actually not convenient to go bank to replace it myself .

Have to do it in person. I found out the hard way when my card suddenly couldn't be used. Called the bank and they said walk-in to any branch.

When my PBB card expired at one time there was a massive update, i didn't bothered. Just cut the card and throw it away. I only use the account online. LOL.

Try report missing? They might sent? I know my cimb kwik kena hack they sent new one

if u really seldom use the card or never use at all. dont bother go replace it. my card got locked bcuz i didnt withdraw in few years time and expired last year. no debit card they cant charge u rm 15 service fee as well if not mistaken (cimb)

but online banking still work fine

I received notification to do it at any branch also. If no queue actually very fast one

Yeah you do need to visit CIMB branch to renew it there's no online method I think.

Already done it past year end of July while my expiry date was December this year. At first CS declined she asked me to come back end of this year.

The problem is I might have no time to queue up again or busy with other matters couldn't come to bank. After second time pleading and agreed to pay the RM15 extra charge only she let me in. Very unpleasant experience.

Cause many theft identity case bank now wont give online replacement

not sure about debit card

but for like credit card you can request for a renewal through online and they will send you a new card to your address

Confirmed if expired debit, they won't charge annual fee anymore?

Sorry to necro old thread, but does this apply for business (CIMB Bizchannel) accounts too? My business debit card expiring end of this month and they didn't automatically send me a new card like credit cards... so must I go to the branch? I live quite far from my opening branch. Can I just go to any other branch?

I think can be done at any branch. Doesn't make sense say you open in Johor and travel all the way to Johor just to get new card.

Thanks bro, makes sense. I panicked a little and forgot common sense kinda disappointed the renewal isn't automatic/seamless like credit card, where they just send you a new one right before it expires...

The common sense you need is to call the bank customer support, policy can change anytime.

They're closed through Jan 2 so I looked to serious K to help out.

No, I called the business number according to https://www.cimb.com.my/en/business/help-an...contact-us.html, which is 1300888828, but even though I called at 3pm (they said till 5pm) it already said they're unavailable and will be back on Jan 2..

I assume if I call the consumer number it'll just redirect me to business since mine is business account I think I'll just go to the closest branch on Jan 2 to ask. Thanks for your help.
