because when they dropped the phone, tempered glass cracked. They assumed TG protected phone screen glass from crack. Actually TG is thin and low tech stuff, but it can protect from scratches.

But default system still limit it to 3sec even if ur newvnotificstion tone sound more than that . correct me if wrong

not true bro , if u directly drop flat on tar road without a temp glass , then it will be damage badly...

if u talk about phone screen stil crack even install with TG , normally this will happen only at the edge , because temp glass it can't be FULL coverage size as u need to install some phone case , in this case normally we assume that u are really very super duper UNLUCKY day ...

TG stil doing a very well protection if accidently drop especially on Tar Road with alot of tiny stone around , trust it or not it's on your final decision , for me TG already save me alot of unnecessary damage as sometime my kid will playing my phone around , try to do it without a temp glass see , see u will cry or not

Like I said, it depends on your activities. I never dropped my phone on tar. I rarely dropped my phone, maybe once per year.

No bro , i didn't mean that u won't drop your phone or maybe just once a year , i'm defending this statement , because it doesnt true , TG doesnt only protect from scratches , it do actually protect from drop and direct impact to your screen , can't be say that it 100% to be safe but at least it help all the time 98% , the 2% i do mention that it really your UNLUCKY day....that ngam ngam on the floor have tiny stone that hit ur edge of screen....

It just like a bullet defender Wearing , it can't be 100% say that u can avoid from sniper bullet shoot , but at least it work what it does , ur statement already make user confusing....u just saying that the TG actually do nothing , once ur phone drop ur screen will crack as usual , it just only protect from scratches... so since bullet defender wearing doesnt def sniper shoot , what the hell police / military stil wearing it?

That's why I said need a good case. With a good case, drop from 2m also no crack. How I know? I tried that. I prefer naked screen because of better user experience. If really unluck and screen crack, then I just go change the screen, not a big deal.
