I've recently been active in twitter space/clubhoues. Some spaces were conducted in with participants from Malaysia and Indonesia. Really there are no problems. By the end of the week every everyone can understand each other perfectly. In fact the way things are going i foresee that the primary driver for bahasa developments, be it the Malaysian or the Indonesian version will come from Indonesia. Their version were largely uncorrupted by English and and the way it was used, the are few languages that can be as beautiful as this one yet so, so practical.
